All current and potential coaches are strongly encouraged to attend. This will be a terrific opportunity for kids to gain more exposure and practice as well as have fun with this great game. They will also be helping coaches develop skills and practices for the 2013 season

There will be a coaching introduction on June 17 at 5:30 p.m. Please plan on attending or email Bob Dugan atRdugan712@yahoo.com, soccer region commissioner or Brigette Bath-Barney brigettebb@sbcglobal.net, region treasurer, for more information about coaching and referee training opportunities.

Each year, Steptoe Valley Soccer Club has more than 320 youth that participate. There is always a need for coaches and assistant coaches as well as parent volunteers to keep the program strong and successful.

The annual Evo Soccer Summer Training Camp is scheduled for August 5-9. This camp is for all youth ages 4 (by Aug. 1) through high school. The camp is $62 per player for 4-5 year olds and $97 for players 6 and above. Go tohttp://www.active.com/soccer-camp/hermosa-beach-ca/evolution-soccer-academy to register and for times.

Camp is held at Steptoe Park and high school players can apply for reimbursement for referee help in the fall. This is a great camp! The camp grows in numbers annually because of the fun week and instruction by Evolution Soccer’s great coaching staff. Register early!

Registration for the 2013 soccer season will be during the week of Evo Soccer camp. The regular soccer season will begin the second week in August, giving the kids and coaches more time to practice and enjoy the game. Games will not begin until after Labor Day.

Steptoe Valley Soccer Club is excited to be again affiliated with AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization). There will be more opportunities for coaching and referee training as well as the prospect of new uniforms.
