Dear Editor,

On my retirement after 18½ years as White Pine County Treasurer, I would like to express my gratitude to all the citizens and voters of White Pine County.

I feel very privileged to have held this office for so many years. The citizens, voters and taxpayers have all been very supportive.

I especially want to thank my fellow county elected officials, department managers and White Pine County employees. It has been a pleasure to serve White Pine County with all of you. We have all worked together very well to provide the best service to our citizens.

Very special thanks to my very loyal and committed staff members, Chief Deputy Treasurer Lisa Davis and Deputy Treasurer Connie Burgwardt-Odgers. They have done an excellent job of providing the best quality of service to me and the taxpayers. I know they will continue to provide the best to my successor Catherine Bakaric.

I wish the best for my successor, Catherine. I know she will do a fine job as your Treasurer and will represent White Pine County very well. I hope you will provide her with as much support as you provided me.

My husband, Dan, and I have been White Pine County residents for over 34 years, moving from Reno. We have raised our children here and we love White Pine County.

We intend to remain here during our retirement. Again, thank you to everyone.

It has indeed been a privilege and honor to serve as your Treasurer.

Beverly J. Cornutt

Retired White Pine County Treasurer

Dear Editor,

My vehicle broke down outside of Ely on June 20. I want to thank all of the kind and helpful people who assisted me: Sergeant Mike of the Highway Patrol, the ranch lady and her son Bret, the tow truck driver, Vicki, Andrew and the guys at Precision Auto Repair and Time at Ely Car Rental.

You turned a negative experience into a postiveone one.

Bob Fullerton,

Glade Park, Colorado
