Nevada Congressman Steven Horsford will host a town hall meeting at the Bristlecone Convention Center on Friday at 6 p.m. The town hall will be a question and answer format where people can come share their ideas directly with the congressman.

“I look forward to returning to Ely this week for a town hall with my constituents so I can hear their comments and concerns,” Horsford said. “These forums provide some of the most valuable feedback that help me make decisions when I vote. Nevada’s 4th Congressional District spans 51,000 square miles, and I am committed to hearing from every community and listening to every voice.”

The Democrat from North Las Vegas defeated Republican Danny Tarkanian in last year’s general election. He has since been in the headlines for recovering from heart surgery over summer, donating his salary during the government shutdown and calling out fellow Nevada Congressman Joe Heck over immigration reform.

Nevada’s 4th Congressional District includes Northern Clark County, North Las Vegas, Mt. Charleston, Mesquite, Overton, Bunkerville, Indian Springs, Moapa, Southern Lyon County, Mineral County, Esmerelda County, Nye County, White Pine County and Lincoln County. Also includes Nellis Air Force Base, Creech Air Force Base and Hawthorne Army Depot.
