She attended elementary and high school in White Pine County, and several years at BYU and the University of Utah. In 1952 she married her high school sweetheart, George Gerald Tate in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, she traveled with him during his years in the service and then they settled back to their beloved Nevada where she spent the rest of her life.
She was a beautiful person with a gentle personality. She was kindly and a friend to all. She was an accomplished pianist and a skilled China painter. She was an avid reader and had a library of several thousand books in her home. She made many beautiful knitted and crocheted articles that she shared as gifts to family and friends. She was a faithful, loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George Gerald Tate.
She loved her children; Mark (deceased); daughter, Marcel; son, Jason; as well as her grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held in Las Vegas, and burial was in Ely, Nevada.
