   January 8
Report of an animal in the roadway — Officer located a dead deer in the roadway. The deer was removed.
 Report of an alarm — False alarm, a employee had accidently set it off.
 Report of suspicious circumstances — Officer received a report of several individuals pointing a gun out of a vehicle. Officer contacted the individuals and reported that they were looking for coyotes.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and during his investigation determined that it was a verbal argument. The parties separated for the day.
Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had scratched letters into a mirror at the County Library.
 Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that while his vehicle was parked at a local parking lot it had been struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle then fled the scene.
 Report of an attempted fraud — Reporting party from Mt. Wheeler Power stated that several individuals in the Ely area reported receiving telephone calls from a individual claiming to be with Mt. Wheeler Power. The individual requested that they pay their power bill over the phone. Reporting party was advised that this is a scam in order to obtain peoples banking information. Any citizens that received these calls and provided information over the phone should contact their banking establishment and also the Sheriff’s Office.
 Report of several truancy’s — The students were issued citations for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile probation.
Report of a problem with a subject — The individual was contacted who appeared to need medical attention. She was taken to E.R. by ambulance.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into her home and stole several items of jewelry.
 Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that she had written a check to pay her rent and had given it to her roommate to pay the landlord. Reporting party stated that her roommate cashed the check and did not pay the landlord. Investigation continues.
 Report of a sexual assault — Reporting party stated that her daughter who is under age of consent was having a sexual relationship with a adult. Investigation continues.
 Report of a welfare check — The area was patrolled, but the individual was not located.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed to have seen lights that were chasing him.  No lights were found.
Report of a parking violation — A vehicle was reportedly parked partially in the roadway.  The owner was contacted and moved the vehicle.
 Report of a suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed to be seeing lights around her residence.  No lights were found.
 Report of a reckless driver — The reporting party claimed a vehicle was driving recklessly by her house.  When officers arrived, the vehicle was gone.
Report of an alarm — An employee accidentally set it off.
 Report of a civil issue — The reporting party claimed to have purchased a vehicle, but the previous owner wanted to be paid for storing it.  Both parties were advised to handle the money issue through civil court.
    Report of suspicious circumstances — A male subject was reportedly trying to break into a parked vehicle.  Officer discovered the male owned the vehicle and had locked himself out.
 Report of a suicidal subject — The reporting party claimed a female was suicidal.  The female was located and checked herself into the hospital.
 Report of a custody problem — Two subjects were disagreeing over custody of their child.  Both were advised to handle the issue through the court system.
 Report of a problem with a subject — A male subject was allegedly banging on a door to a local motel.  Contact was made with the subject who explained his teenage daughter locked him out after an argument.  The male was allowed back into the room and agreed with motel management to pay for damages to the door.
 Report of a suspicious subject — The reporting party, while working in a local business, claimed a male came in and fell asleep in the business.  The male was located and claimed to just be tired.  The male left the area without incident.
Report of threats — The reporting party claimed her daughter had been threatened by two other female juveniles.  She only wanted a report made.

 Report of an accident — Zakkary Gregersen of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Ave C. As he operated the vehicle he failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck a fence. A accident report was completed.
 Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into her home and stole several items.
Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend didn’t return their child in common at the designated time. She was advised to document the incident and inform her attorney.
 Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen a large amount of money from his bank account. Officer reported that no theft had happened and reported that the reporting party was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance.

 Report of a dog bite — Reporting party stated that her neighbors dog had bit her dog. The neighbor was contacted and he advised he had the dog put down.
 Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that someone had sprayed his truck with soda. The incident was documented.
 Report of a broken window — Reporting party stated that someone had shot a window at his place of business with a BB gun.
 Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that his grandson was possibly using drugs. The area and juvenile were checked and no problems were reported.
 Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle which had a flat tire. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised to remove it from the roadway.
 Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that she received a phone call from a collection company stating she was delinquent on a loan. The company needed her personal information. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and not to give any information out over the phone.
   Report of a juvenile problem — Officer contacted the juveniles and reported that no problems were located.
    Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that he observed a vehicle with several deceased elk in the back of it. Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who had been hunting in Arizona.
Report of a delayed domestic battery — Reporting party stated that several days ago she had been battered by her boyfriend. Investigation continues.
Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that her motion lights were out. Officer checked the lights and reported that they had burned out.
