Jan. 22
Report of an alarm — False alarm.
Report of found drug paraphernalia — Reporting party stated that while he was remodeling a business he located some drug paraphernalia. The items were collected and destroyed.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a family member came to his home and when the family member left he notice that he was missing some money. Officer contacted the family member who denied the allegation of taking the money. Investigation continues.
Report of an accident — Manuel Gonzales of Owyhee, NV was operating a vehicle traveling on US 6 west. He allowed the vehicle he was operating to leave the roadway and travel down a ravine. A report was completed.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a customer at a local bar was causing problems and refused to leave. Officer contacted the individual and advised him to leave the establishment. The individual complied.

Jan. 23
Report of a missing vehicle — Reporting party stated that he was unable to locate his vehicle. Officer reported that the vehicle was parked along side the highway where the reporting party had left it. No crime had occurred.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were in the process of separating property and one of the parties was moving out of the residence. While moving out one of the parties involved started to throw items around the house. The parties involved were advised to keep the peace and they separated for the day.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she lives with a friend and the friend was throwing her belongings in the trash and would not let her return to the home. Officer contacted the friend and explained the proper way to evict a person and advised her not to damage any of the reporting parties property.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into her home and stole her medication.

Jan. 24
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he was having problems with his adult son who resides with him. The adult son was making noise and wouldn’t go to bed. Officer advised the reporting party we couldn’t force anyone to go to bed and to contact the Sheriff’s Office if a crime had occurred.
Report of an agency assist — Officer assisted hospital staff with a patient that was causing a disturbance.
Report of a hit and run accident — Officer reported that a stop sign had been hit by a vehicle and that the striking vehicle had fled the scene. Officer located the striking vehicle and identified the operator as Melissa Woodworth of Ely. Woodworth was issued a citation for hit and run property damage and immediate notice to police.
Report of found drug paraphernalia — Officer reported that the item located was not used for controlled substances, but for smoking tobacco. No crime had occurred.
Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that she had been removed from her place of residence without being properly evicted. Officer contacted the owner of the residence and advised her to properly evict the reporting party.
Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that her child had gone to her fathers for a visit and now the father was refusing to return the child. Officer contacted the father and the child was returned to a grandparent. D.C.F.S. was notified of the situation.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that John J. Harris age 21 of Hiko, NV. was arrested on a Carlin Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear.
Report of a dog bite — Reporting party stated that her child was playing at a local park. The child attempted to pet a stay dog and the dog bit him. The child received medical attention at the E.R. The dog was not located.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her juvenile daughter is having contact with a male juvenile and she wants the relationship to stop. Both parties were contacted and advised stay away from each other

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer reported that during his investigation Cheryl K. Beck age 57 of McGill was arrested. Beck was arrested for domestic battery #1. She is accused of battering a individual whom she resides with.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a family member had stolen some medication from his residence. Officer contacted the family member who is a local juvenile. The juvenile was found in possession of the medication. He was detained and later released to his parent. The incident will be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.
Report of a fire — Officer located the fire and reported that it was a controlled burn. The person conducting the burn was advised to notify the Fire Department before burning.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer reported that during his investigation Royce L. Kaamasee age 33 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery. Kaamasee is accused of battering his ex-wife.
Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that a child was stuck in a tree. A parent used a latter to climb up and free the child.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that his ex-roommate had stolen a pair of gloves from him. Investigation continues.
Report of an accident — Robbin Gannon of Mill Bay, BC. was operating a vehicle traveling on US 6 when he struck a deer. A accident report was completed.
Report of an alarm — False alarm, set off by the operator of the business.
Report of an ambulance assist — Officer assisted the Ely Ambulance with the care of a patient.
Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer contacted the occupant of the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.

Jan. 26
Report of a noise disturbance — Officer located a vehicle that was parked by a residence running. The occupant of the vehicle was contacted and advised to turn the engine off.
Report of a fight — Officer contacted one of the parties involved who stated that he was messing around with several friends and one of them punched him in the face. The friend had left the area. The victim requested no action be taken.
Report of a problem with a subject — When officers arrived at the local bar the individual had left the area.
Report of a fight — Officer reported that the parties involved had left the area.
Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that he is the executer over his deceased parents estate. He stated that one of his sibling keeps entering into the home his parents owned without his permission. He was advised it was a civil problem and to seek a restraining order.
Report of a suspicious subjects — The individuals were contacted and no crime had occurred.
Report of an accident — Albert Gledhill of Ely had parked his vehicle and was exiting it. As he did so he opened the door to the vehicle and a passing vehicle being operated by Autumn Gordon of Ely struck the door. A accident report was completed.
Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.
Report of inappropriate contact between children — Reporting party stated that while two children in his care were playing with each other one of them inappropriately touched the other child. Investigation into the incident continues.
Report of a citizen assist — Officer assisted the motorist who had ran out of gas.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had thrown eggs at his vehicle. The incident was documented.
Report of a possible burglary — Reporting party stated that someone had taken a window out on her place of employment. Nothing was missing from the business. The window was replaced.
Report of a dead dog — Reporting party stated that her dog was dead in her yard and believed it may had been shot. Officers examined the dog and found no evidence of a crime.
Report of a disturbance — Reporting party stated that vehicles are always turning around in her driveway. The area was patrolled, but no vehicle were observed.
Report of a possible harassment — Reporting party stated that he is receiving unwanted text massages from a individual. The messages were documented. Reporting party requested no contact be made with the sender of the messages.

Report of lost property — Reporting party stated that she had lost her wallet. A report was completed.
Report of a vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into a vacant home he rents and damaged the items inside.
Report of a stolen vehicle — Reporting party stated that he had rented a vehicle to a individual, but the renter had not returned it. The vehicle was located and returned to the owner.
Report of  indecent exposure — Reporting party stated that her mothers boyfriend had exposed himself to her. Investigation continues.
Reports of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that his father recently passed away and his fathers home had been left to him and his sisters. He stated that one of his sisters is trying to move into the home. He was advised it was a civil problem.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Jeffrey S. Crane age 45 of Granger, WA was arrested for operating a unregistered vehicle and non resident driving suspended.
Report of a bad check — Reporting party stated that she had received a check that was fraudulent. The check was to be cashed and a portion of the money sent back to the sender. Reporting party was advised it was a scam.
Report of threats — Reporting party stated that she moving out of a rented home and she is receiving threatening voice mails from her landlord. The landlord was contacted and advised to stop her contact with the reporting party.
Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that he was to obtain his daughter for visitation, but the mother was refusing to provide him the child. The mother was contacted and the child was given to the father.
Report of a stolen four wheeler — Reporting party stated that his four wheeler was parked in the alleyway by his home and someone stole it. Investigation continues.          Report of a welfare check — the individual was contacted and was fine.
Report of a death – Officer reported that a inmate at Ely State Prison died. The Deceased was transported to the Clark County Coroners Office for a autopsy. The Deceased name will no be released due to the next of kin had not been notified.
Report of a suicidal subject – Officer contacted the juvenile and his family and reported that the situation was resolved and the juvenile was receiving help from the family.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a customer at a local bar was causing a disturbance. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the bar.
