Jan. 29
Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had gotten into a physical altercation with her boyfriend. Both parties were contacted who gave conflicting statements on what had occurred. They were both advised to keep the peace.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that while his vehicle was parked at a local motel someone entered into it and stole several items.
Report of a civil problem — Officer met with a landlord who wanted his tenant out of the home he was renting to them. He was advised to follow the appropriate eviction process.
Report of a harassment — Reporting party stated that a individual came to her place of work and contacted her boss. The individual was trying to claim that she was being harassed while she was at the reporting parties place of business. Both parties involved were contacted and advised to stay away from each other.
Report of an emergency message alert — Officer contacted the parties who had made the alert with a SPOT phone. They stated that they were making sure it worked. They were advised to notify law enforcement before testing a alert system.
Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer contacted the occupant of the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.
Report of cows on the roadway — The responsible party for the cows was contacted and they were removed.
Report of a home alarm — Officer reported that it was a false alarm and it had been set off accidently by the occupant of the home.
Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a individual causing a disturbance at a local business. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the business.
Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a student who had brought alcohol to school. The student and his parent were contacted and the student was removed from school. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.
Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that she had left her home for awhile and when she returned one of the doors on the residence was open. The home was checked and nothing was missing or disturbed.
Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that several juveniles are climbing onto a power box which is attached to a building where he works. Officers are attempting to locate the juvenile who are responsible.
Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had cut several tires on his vehicle. No suspects were identified.
Report of a found motorcycle — Reporting party found a small motorcycle which had been concealed in some brush. The bike was collected and placed into lost and found.

Report of a fight — Officer made contact with one of the parties involved who refused to provide any information on how he had gotten injured. The incident was documented.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that several individuals are attempting to care for a family member and they are disagreeing on the plan of action for the care. The parties involved were contacted and the situation was resolved.

Report of a suicidal subject — The subject was contacted and claimed he was fine.  The subject was left in the company of a friend.
Report of a civil problem — The reporting party wanted a person, whom lived in their house, removed from the home.  The reporting party was advised about the eviction process.
Report of damaged property — The reporting party claimed someone damaged her vehicle.  A report was completed.
Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party believed someone tried to remove a vehicle from her curtilage.  A report was completed.
Report of an arrest — 32 year old Jeremy Allen Gossett, of Preston, was arrested at his residence for an outstanding warrant.
Report of a juvenile battery — A juvenile battered another juvenile.  Contact was made with the parents, and the juvenile was released to them.  A report was completed and submitted to Juvenile Probation.
Report of injury to property — The reporting party claimed someone damaged his work vehicle.  A report was competed.
Report of a business alarm — The alarm was fortuitously set off by an employee.
Report of a reckless driver — The reporting party complained of two unregistered vehicles driving recklessly in a neighborhood.  The vehicles were located, parked and unoccupied.
Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed someone was shining a device that produces a nearly parallel, nearly monochromatic, and coherent beam of light by exciting atoms to a higher energy level and causing them to radiate their energy in phase at vehicles as they were driving by.  The suspect, a juvenile, was located, and warned about his actions.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that something stuck the door to his vehicle causing a dent. A report was completed.
Report of a threat — Reporting party stated that a customer called their place of business and threatened to harm employees and the business. The individual was contacted who apologized for his behavior. The report was forwarded to the District Attorneys Office to review for prosecution.
Report of reckless driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and warned him about his driving.
Report of a hit and run accident — Officer located a street sign that had been hit by a vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene.
Report of a suspicious vehicle — officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her wallet had been stolen at a local casino. Officer reported during his investigation no theft had occurred.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Kevin L. Kennedy age 36 of Ely was arrested for D.U.I. driving with license suspended, open container, failure to obey traffic control devices, failure to maintain lane of travel, license plate light required and for a probation violation.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Curren Blackmore age 51 of Ruth was arrested for D.U.I #2 and driving revoked.

Feb. 1
Report of suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.
Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that he received a phone call from a individual who stated that he was a representative of a software company and that his computer had a virus. The reporting party then gave the caller his computer information which allowed the caller to take over his computer. The caller then demanded money to release the computer. Reporting party was advised he had fallen for a scam and to have his computer checked out by a repair shop. He was also advised to monitor his bank and credit card accounts.
Report of a reckless driver — Officer contacted the operator and warned him about his driving behavior.
Report of an accident — Randal Hansen of Ely was operating a vehicle on Aultman Street. Martha Collette of Ely was operating a vehicle and was stopped at a red light at the corner of Aultman Street and 11th. Hansen failed to stop and collied his vehicle to the rear of Collette’s vehicle. A accident report was completed and Hansen was issued a citation for following to close.
Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a customer had left without paying for his motel room. The customer stated that his employer was to pay for the room. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem and to contact the employer.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Sarah Corkum age 24 of Ely was arrested on a Ely Municipal Court warrant.
Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that his ex-girlfriend who they have a child in common was moving out of the state and taking their child with her. He was advised that due to no child custody order she was allowed to do so.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that while her vehicle was parked in front of her residence another vehicle struck it. The striking vehicle had fled the scene.
Report of a citizens assist — Reporting party requested that Deputies move the snow which was in front of her vehicle. Officers declined the request.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Tyson L. Dukes age 35 of Preston was arrested for D.U.I. , expired registration and lighted lamp lights required.
Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Cameron M. Varney age 20 of Ely was arrested for driving suspended.
Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who’s teenage daughter was having a mental medical problem. The daughter was taken to E.R. for treatment.
Report of an accident — Austin Zeman a juvenile of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Ogden Ave. He failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck a parked vehicle belonging to James Northness of Ely. A accident report was completed and Zeman was issued a citation for driving on right side required.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.
Report of a violation of a protective order — Reporting party stated that a individual whom she has a protective order against was trying to contact her through the internet. The incident was documented.
Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that she had taken her engagement ring off and left it in her vehicle. When she returned to her vehicle it was gone. The theft had occurred sometime in December.
Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual who was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of a parking problem — The reporting party complained that a parked vehicle was impeding his vehicle.  The owner of the offending vehicle was located and meliorated the situation.
Report of a non injury accident — Rosalinda Navarrete-Juarez, of Ely, was entering an intersection when she was struck by another vehicle operated by Minnis Alderman, also of Ely.  A report was completed.
Report of an unattended death — Chris Call was found deceased in his residence and appeared to have died of natural causes.

Report of a theft — The reporting party claimed someone had stolen money and property from her vehicle.  The investigation continues.
Report of a domestic disturbance — The subjects were found arguing in a parking lot.  They were warned about disturbing the peace and they separated for the night.
