Report of a noise disturbance — Reporting party stated that his neighbor is constantly revving up the engine on his vehicle early in the morning. Officer contacted the neighbor who was identified as Charles Cambell. Cambell was issued a citation for disturbing the peace.

Report of vandalism — Officer received a report of a vehicle that had several damaged windows. Officer reported that the owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised of the damage.

Report of suspiscious circumstances — Reporting party stated that she had located blood on her vehicle. During the officers investigation it was determined that the blood had come from a injured bird.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted a individual who had been trespassed from a apartment complex. The individual was advised of the trespass notice and he left the property.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that she has been separated from her husband for several years, but he still claims her as a dependant on his tax return. She was advised to contact the IRS.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that a delivery person had struck her motorcycle whith his delivery truck. The delivery truck then left the scene. Investigation continues.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Heather L. Huffman age 37 of Ely was arrested on a Elko Justice Court warrant for contempt of court.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her daughters bike had been stolen.

Report of a battery / arrest — Reporting party stated that he had been attacked by a individual and had been cut with a knife. During the officers investigation it was determined that the reporting party had falsely reported the crime and that the wound he had received was self inflicted. The individual was identified as Charles P. White age 24 of Ely. White was arrested for filing a false police report and possession of a controlled substance.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer located the vehicle which was parked and unoccupied.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted the party involved who was yelling at her child. She was advised to keep the peace.

Report of a suspicious phone call — Reporting party stated that he received a phone call from a closed business. The business was checked and found to be secured.

Report of possible drug use — Officers received a report of possible drug use at a local motel room. Officers contacted the occupants of the room and reported that no dug use was detected.

Report of a fire — The responsible party for the fire had been burning weeds during the day, but had left some railroad tie’s smoldering. The tie’s caught a fence on fire. The fire was extinguished.

Report of unwanted text messages — Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted text messages from a individual who she doesn’t like. She was advised to let the person sending the massages to stop calling her.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he put his medication in a bag and then put the bag in the back of his truck. He stated that someone had stolen his medication from his vehicle.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop Matthew Sedillo age 25 of Boise, ID and Joseph Taylor age 50 of Jerome, ID was arrested for transporting a controlled substance and trafficking a controlled substance.

Report of a found debit card — The owner was contacted and the debit card was returned.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone has been emptying the collection bin on a vacuum at a local gas station. Investigation continues.

 Report of a death — Officer reported that Paula . Williams age 65 of Ely died at her residence of natural causes.

 Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had broken several windows on an apartment building he manages.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle which had a flat tire and was blocking a lane of travel. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and the vehicle was removed.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen a pistol from his vehicle. Reporting party was unsure of when or where the theft had occurred.

Report of an injured dog — Reporting party stated that he believes his neighbor shot his dog with a BB gun. Officer contacted the neighbor who denied the allegation.

 Report of a juvenile detention — Officer reported that during a traffic stop on a vehicle the operator was identified as a local juvenile. The juvenile was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. The juvenile was detained and later released to his parent.

Report of a motorist assist — Officer received a report of an individual who was stuck on Success Loop. When officers arrived the individual was able to free her vehicle and proceed on her way.

 Report of a custody problem — Officer contacted the parties involved and the visitation rights for the child were worked out.

Report of an accident — Israel Fernandez was operating a vehicle and was backing up. He failed to see a motorcycle being operated by Chris Miller of McGill. Miller struck Fernandez vehicle causing damage. Fernandez was issued a citation for unsafe backing. An accident report was completed.

 Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that an individual was backing up and struck her unoccupied vehicle. The striking vehicle fled the scene. Officers identified the operator of the vehicle that fled and are trying to locate her.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Gary T. Donovan age 63 of McGill died at his residence of natural causes.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of a individual loitering around a persons home. Officer located the individual and identified him as a local juvenile. The juvenile was out past curfew. He was detained and later released to a family member.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that his bank deposit bag which contained a large amount of money had been stolen from his place of employment. Investigation continues.

Report of unattended children — Reporting party stated that several children were playing in the roadway. Officer contacted the parent and advised him of the problem.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen her debit card and had used it cleaning out her banking account. Investigation continues.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that she had received a telephone call from a individual who threatened her. The caller was contacted and advised to keep her conversations civil with the reporting party.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer located the vehicle and stopped it. During the officer’s investigation Shannon J. Potter age 34 of McGill was arrested for D.U.I., no driver’s license in possession and unregistered vehicle.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a barking dog. During his investigation Juana Ortiz of Ely was issued a citation for barking dog and dog license required.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had defecated on the playground equipment at a local park. The incident was documented.

Report of a 911 hangup — The caller was contacted and reported that it was an accident and that he was fine.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that a student at a local school had battered another student. All the parties involved were contacted and a report was sent to Juvenile probation.

Report of a welafre check — Officer reported that the individual was fine.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer contacted the juveniles who were kicking rocks into the roadway. They were advised of the consequences of their actions.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that his child had been bitten by a dog. The bite did not break the skin, but had caused a pinch mark. The owner of the dog was contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that the owner of a storage unit had damaged some of her property. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a suspicious subject — Reporting party stated that several juveniles had entered into a vacant motel room. The juveniles were located and detained and later release to their parents.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that he was disciplining his teen age son when his son left the home without permission. Officers located the juvenile and returned him home.

Report of suspicous subjects — Reporting party stated that several juveniles were trying to gain access to a vacant building. Officers patrolled the area, but the juvenile were not located.

Report of an abandoned cat — Officer received a report of a cat living in a vacant home. The owner of the cat was contacted and will attempt to catch it.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that she is house sitting for a friend and believes that someone was inside the home. The home was checked and nothing was located.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that several dogs had killed some of his chickens. The owner of the dog was identified and a citation for dog at large was issued to Traci Syme of Ely.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he had located several individuals removing items from the ely Landfill. The individuals were identified as Justin M. Poulson –Miller age 24 of Ely and Levi E. Garcia age 24 of Ely. Both were arrested for petit larceny and trespassing.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a trespasser — When officers arrived the individual had left the local casino.

Report of a scam — Reporting party stated that she had received a phone call from an individual who claimed to be from the Tax Commission. The caller advised the reporting party she owned money and to send him a check for the money owned. The reporting party was advised it was a scam. And to stop all contact with the caller.

Report of a emergency message — Officer located the individual and delivered the message.

Report of a death — Officer reported that John A. Stott age 73 of Cherry Creek died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Report of a fire — Officers assisted with a fire that had occurred at a residence in the Ruth area.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that there was a vehicle at a local park honking its horn and flashing its lights. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a problem with a subejct — Reporting party stated that she had gone to her ex-boyfriends home to get some of her property back.  The reporting party stated that the ex-boyfriend pointed a gun at her. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an intoxicated subject had caused some damage at a local bar and another subject who was also intoxicated was refusing to leave. Officer reported that the individual who caused the damaged had left the bar, but was later located. He was identified as Jerry Burton age 47 of Ely. Burton was arrested on a probation violation. The other individual was identified as Daniel D. Griffin age 48 of Ely. Griffin was arrested for trespassing.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a individual who was passed out at a local casino. Officer contacted the individual and requested he leave the establishment. The individual complied.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had cut the tires on his vehicle. Investigation continues.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Dorothy M. Jensen age 85 of Ely died at her residence of natural causes.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that sign at a local business blew off the building and struck her car causing damage.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that while operating his vehicle the tire blew. Officer reported that the operator had ran over some type of object damaging the tire.

Report of propety damage — Reporting party stated that while his truck was parked and unoccupied someone had struck it with another vehicle. While the deputy was investigating the incident a note was located with the striking vehicles operators’ information. The reporting party was provided the note and advised to contact the responsible party.
