Lynne Adams BSN RN was named Teacher of the Month for May. Adams, who was nominated by White Pine High School Principal Adam Young, is White Pine High School’s Health Sciences teacher. Adams has held this position for more than a decade, but her real job is that of school district nurse. In making the nomination Principal Young said of Adams,” Mrs. Adams provides hands on and real life learning for her students. Of course. They learn the basics of Anatomy and physiology and the ‘textbook’ learning. But year after year Mrs. Adam’s students get on the job training through internship and job shadows with local health care provider. She doesn’t just tell students how to do things, she shows them.” Adam’s husband is James Adams, and they have three grown children James, Charissa and Bethany and four grandchildren. Her children attended White Pine High School. In receiving her award and thanking the Lions Club for the honor she told the group, “Today, teaching these students has become so fulfilling and rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed my career with the school district.”
