Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual had come to his home and threatened him. The parties involved were contacted and advised to stay away from each other.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that her business establishment had been shot with paint balls. The incident was documented.

Report of a water problem — Officer received a report of excessive watering at a residence. Officer contacted the owner of the home and advised her to adjust her sprinklers.

Report of trespassers — Reporting party stated that she located several individuals trespassing at the McGill Pool. The individuals left the area before officers arrived. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was causing a disturbance. Officer located the individual who was in need of some medical assistance. He was transported to E.R.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party believes his vehicle had been tampered with by his neighbor. Officer investigated the incident and reported that no evidence was located that substantiated the claim.

Report of a trespasser — Officer contacted the individual and advised him he was no longer allowed on the property. The individual left the area.

Report of an alarm — Officer reported that assistance was provided to the hospital that was having problems with a patient.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation Jesse Loghry age 30 of Ely was arrested. Loghry was arrested for domestic battery strangulation. He is accused of battering his wife.

Report of a accident / private property — Officer reported that the vehicles involved had left the scene of the accident. The operators of the vehicle were later contacted and statements were provided.

Report of an accident / private property — Walter Butler of Yuba City, CA had parked his vehicle at a local parking lot. Cody Perkins a juvenile of Ely was operating a vehicle and struck Butler’s vehicle as he traveled through the parking lot. An accident report was completed.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a juvenile that was damaging campaign signs. Officer is attempting to locate the juvenile involved.

Report of a bad check — Reporting party received a check for payment of services that did not clear the bank. The reporting party was advised the proper procedures to follow in order to proceed with assistance from the District Attorney Office for collections.

Report of a suicidal subject — Officer contacted the individual who stated that he was fine.  He advised that he was staying with friends for the night.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a patient at the hospital that was causing a disturbance. Officer assisted medical staff with the patient.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he had left a bag at a local motel that contained several Nintendo games and a GPS. When he called the motel they could not locate the bag and items. During the officers investigation an employee of the motel was identified as a suspect in the theft. He was identified as Zachary A. Snow age 20 of Ely. Snow was arrested for possession of stolen property and obstructing a police officer.

Report of a possible trespasser — Officer reported that the individual involved had never been trespassed from the property.

Report of a violation of a court order — Reporting party stated that she has a protective order against her, but the applicant keeps violating the order. The incident was documented.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an atv problem — Reporting party stated that a motorcycle drove by their home at a high rate of speed. The area was patrolled, but the motorcycle was not located.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that her vehicle had been struck by another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. Investigation continues.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that several vehicles had been following her while she traveled from the Elko area. Officer reported that the incident was unfounded.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party saw lights on at a facility that was closed.  The area was checked and nothing suspicious was located.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed there was a grave in the mountains.  Contact was made with a third party who claimed the grave belonged to a relative.

Report of a juvenile problem — The reporting party claimed several juveniles were damaging property in a local park.  The area was checked, and no damage was found.

Report of a juvenile problem — Several juveniles were allegedly consuming alcohol in a local park.  The juveniles were contacted and one was found to be intoxicated.  The juvenile was taken into custody and later released to his parents.  A report was completed and will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.

Report of an animal problem — A deer had been struck by a vehicle and was in the roadway.  The deer was located and removed.

Report of a juvenile problem — Two juveniles were reportedly on the roof of a local school.  The children fled the area prior to law enforcement arrival.

Report of a private property accident — Kuniko Canterbury, of Ely, backed out of a parked position in a private parking lot and struck an unoccupied vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed to have heard children screaming.  When officers arrived, no children were found.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed his wife kidnapped his children.  It was later learned the reporting party was intoxicated and his wife left with the kids because of his behavior.

Report of a theft — The reporting party claimed someone stole his son’s bicycle.  A report was completed.

Report of a welfare check — A child was allegedly left unattended in a residence.  Officers made contact with the occupants and found an adult was indeed watching over the child.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — The reporting party claimed a vehicle was parked in front of a vacant house.  The vehicle was checked and red tagged for removal.

Report of a delayed accident — The reporting party claimed to have struck a cow on a rural road.  A report was completed.

Report of fraud — The reporting party was contacted by a subject who told her she won the lottery and requested she wire several thousand dollars in order to claim the winnings.  After the money was wired, the reporting party learned this the lottery was fraudulent.  A report was completed.

Report of threats — The reporting party claimed a male subject had sent several threatening letters.  A report was completed.

Report of theft — The reporting party believed someone was breaking into a vehicle.  Officers located the subject and found he had locked his keys in his vehicle.

Report of a dog at large — Officer located the dog and when the owner returns home she will be issued a citation for dog at large.

Report of a bad check — Officer collected the check which had been written on an insufficient account. The checked was turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for collections.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her purse had been stolen from her car and now someone is using her debit card. Investigation continues.

Report of a violation of a court order — Officer investigated the incident and reported no violation had occurred.

Report of a welfare check — Officer received a report of several children being left alone. Officer reported that D.C.F.S. was contacted and the children were placed with a friend of the family. The mother of the children was located at a local bar. She advised that the children were supposed to be being watched by a family friend. Investigation continues.
