Andrew was a honorably discharged Veteran of World War II, serving in the Italy K Company 351st infantry regiment part of the 88th infantry division, his occupation specialty was scout rifleman. He participated in the 1944 Rome-Arno, Po Valley and North Apennines Campaign. Andrew was wounded in action at San Romano on July 25, 1944, a building collapsed from German artillery, he received a Purple Heart Medal and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge. Other awards he received are the Good Conduct Ribbon 606 HQ 351st Inf 44, Distinguished Unit Badge Co. 188 HQ 5th Army 44 and Eame Theater Ribbon M1 Riffle (ex). Throughout his life Andrew has served his Country and Community with his many talents. He was a Rancher and a Farmer. He worked on various Ranches as a Ranch hand in addition to his own Ranch. Andrew excelled in cattle operation and trained his own horses to use while working cattle.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents; brother Albert Allison; sister Sophie Allison; son Michael Keith Allison; Daughter Linda Illene Allison; granddaughter Stephani Howard and great grandson Skyler Stevens.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Doris Millett Allison; sister Irene Mike; daughters Deanna, Sharlene and Andrea; sons Wesley and Vernon; adopted grandson Clayton Keith Allison; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and relatives.
The funeral services will be officiated by the Lund LDS Church at the Duckwater Tribal Gym on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:30 m.m. Interment will be in the Duckwater Cemetery. A luncheon will be served following the conclusion of services.
