Actors and tech crew at WPHS are gearing up for the first production of the school year. “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” will be performed on the WPHS stage on September 26, 27, 29, October 3 and 4 at 7:00 p.m.  Matinees will be offered on both Saturdays, September 27 and October 4, at 1:00 p.m.

This delightful musical is based on the well-loved “Peanuts” comic strip by Charles Schulz. It follows a day in the life of that beloved blockhead, Charlie Brown (Collin Young), and his friends Lucy (Megan Armstrong), Linus (Ben Lytle), Schroeder (Christian Bennett), Sally (Maryn Van Tassell) and, of course, his loyal dog, Snoopy (Will Hampton). And in spite of how things seem to go wrong for that round-headed kid, he continues to look at life with an optimistic view.

This is a great family show and so the performers are offering family tickets ($25) for both matinees and for the Monday night showing. Reserved seats ($10), which will be sold at Economy Drug, will be available on the Friday and Saturday night shows and general seats will be available for all performances. General seat tickets will be $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, $6 for children.

Don’t miss this terrific musical for the whole family.
