Jacob Werner Baer and Aymee Saray Felix-Quispe have been named Students of the Month for November, according to Ely Elks Lodge. Baer, age 17, is the son of Tina and Steve Baer of Ely. Felix-Quispe, age. 17, is the daughter of Fredi and Lorena Felix of Ely. Both are Seniors at White Pine High School and will graduate with the Class of 2015. The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area. Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection of Students of the Month. Baer has been active in track, basketball and as captain of the WPHS football team. He is a member of the National Honor Society, WPHS Choir and WPHS Student Council. His hobbies are watching and playing sports and hanging out with friends. Felix-Quispe is a member of the National Honor Society and was cheerleader captain her first year. She has volunteered in the community for Public Lands Day, White Pine Care Center and for flu shots. Felix has been a member of the WPHS Bobkettes dance team for two years and the WPHS Choir four years.  She has 27 credits for college and is a member of the CNA class, certified in first aid and CPR.  She was the track team manager her Freshman year, played Scorpion volleyball and has four years of advanced placement in English.
