So sorry to hear of Carol Ann’s death. She and I were good friends in High School, graduated 1964. Her mom was our Government teacher. We also worked in the High School lunch room together. Condolences to Sharon…..we spent time at your house in Sparks that year after we graduated. Many good memories.
Hello Bonni, Thank you, I miss her very much, and Its nice to hear from people she knew when she was younger. she was a great person. I am glad you have happy memories of her. Sincerely Linda Holden
I would like to know if this was the Ann Genung I knew VERY WELL. Your answer would be sincerely appreciated.
Hello Ron, my Mom did not have any Brothers just one sister, Sharon Genung, she resides in Sparks Nevada, My Grandma taught school there at white pine county high, and my Grandfather was the fire chief for many years there in Ely, I know he remarried for several year there, and then came back to my Grandma, however I do not know any of the ladies kids that he helped raise.
Thanks for your timely answer Linda. I am sorry for your loss. Time will heal. I don’t think this was the Ann Genung I knew. Ann and her brother Jack lived on the Terrace with your Grandparents. Their real last name was Mills, of Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho. Ann graduated with the WPHS Class of 1960. She went to Glenn’s FFerry, Idaho, to see her father that summer.
Was her brother Jack Genung?
Linda Holden,
I don’t know if you remember me, but we used to own S&Y Construction in St George. We worked with your mom and Don on several occassions and we had many special times and dinners together. I was trying to find your mom and Don, but found this instead. I’m so sad! They were both such neat people!
