The Ely City Council have announced that they will hold a special meeting on Dec. 29 at 5 p.m. at the National Guard Armory to potentially take action on several important agenda items before the end of the year.

Items included on the agenda span from interviewing candidates and appointing a new City Attorney to potentially changing the location of future meetings to the White Pine Aquatic center. In addition to to the City Council’s agenda items, the agenda also lists an item for “consideration to reappoint” both Randy Larson and John Gianoli to the railroad management board after both of their terms ended on Sept. 30 of this year under the Railroad Board of Trustees separate meeting, which is held near the conclusion of the meeting.

The item has come up in the past two City Council meetings, but has been tabled after there was uncertainty over whether or not Larson’s and Gianoli’s terms had actually expired.

The meeting will also discuss and potentially approve the shared Building Official Services agreement between the City of Ely and White Pine County.
