Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are leased by law enforcement agencies that include the WPCSO, Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely Shoshone Tribal Police and other local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies.

DEC. 17

Report of a theft — The reporting party claimed her daughter stole her debit card and used it without permission.  She only wanted a report made, to give her daughter the opportunity to pay back the money.

Report of an alarm — The area was checked and found to be normal.

Report of an animal problem — Bovidae were reportedly on the highway.  The  cloven-hoofed, ruminant mammals were herded into a secure enclosure and the owner was notified.

Report of property damage — The reporting party, an employee of a local utility, reported damaging a parked vehicle near where they were working.  The owner of the property was notified and a report was completed.

Report of a custody problem — The reporting party claimed her ex-husband was not going to abide by their child custody agreement for the coming holiday season.  The reporting party was advised the issue was civil, but to report the incident if it did in fact occur.

Report of property damage — The reporting party claimed someone damaged a public restroom.  The damage was documented.

Report of a battery — The reporting party claimed to have been battered by an inmate, whilst in custody at the White Pine County Jail.  The investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claims an acquaintance keeps stalking and threatening him.  Contact to be made with the suspect.

Report of a runaway — The reporting party claimed her juvenile daughter ran away with her boyfriend, identified as 18 year old Tristan Perez, of Ely.  Deputies contacted Perez’s grandmother, Sydney Donahoo, of Ely, who gave misleading statements to the deputy.  Perez and the juvenile were later located.  The juvenile was released to her mother, Perez was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and Donahoo was issued a citation for obstructing a peace officer.

DEC. 18

Report of fraud — The reporting party was concerned that his elderly father was being exploited by a young woman.  It was learned this all occurred in an adjacent county.  The reporting party was advised to contact the law enforcement agency that had jurisdiction.

Report of elder abuse — The reporting party believes his mother is being exploited by one of her children.  The investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — The subject was located and was fine.

Report of drugs — Two juveniles were believed to have been under the influence of drugs while at school.  The case was turned over to the Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force.

Report of suspicious subjects — The area was checked, but only livestock were found.

Report of an alarm — The alarm was found to have been activated by a naughty child during a holiday party.

Report of an arrest — J Michael Bainbridge was arrested for an outstanding Municipal Court warrant.

DEC. 19

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic disturbance that was taking place. During the officers investigation it was determined it was a verbal argument. One of the parties involved was identified as Jesse T. Griffin age 20 of Ely. Griffin was arrested for trespassing and minor in consumption.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and during their investigation Jesse Baca age 33 of Ely was arrested. Baca was arrested for injury to property. He is accused of having an argument with a family member and during the argument drove his vehicle into the family member’s vehicle on purpose.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of stolen property — Reporting party stated that his weed eater had been stolen several months ago and today he located it on his property. The incident was documented.

Report of an abandoned vehicle — The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Terrell L. Rea age 48 of Boardman, OR was arrested for D.U.I., driving suspended, possession of marijuana, trafficking a controlled substance, and transporting a controlled substance.

Report of an animal call — Reporting party stated that a mountain lion was seen near her home. N.D.O.W. was notified.

Report of an accident — Robert Vandemark of Ely was operating a vehicle entering into a parking position. He stated that his brakes failed and he struck a parked vehicle belonging to Debbie Cazier of Ely. An accident report was completed. Vandemark was issued a citation for expired registration, no insurance, and driving without a valid license.

Report of found property — The owner of the wallet was contacted and it will be returned to her.

Report of a dog bite — Reporting party stated that while visiting a friend at their home, her friends dog bite her child. The child received medical attention at E.R. Officer contacted the owner of the dog and verified all the dog was current on its shots.

Report of identity theft — Reporting party stated that his old employee records at his previous job had been stolen. The incident was documented and the reporting party was advised on procedures to take reference the theft.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her son had stolen an item from their home and sold it to a friend. The item was returned by an unknown person. Investigation continues.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated she loaned her car to her now ex-boyfriend and now she wants the car returned. Officer reported that the car was returned.

Report of a possible burglary — Reporting party stated that several people were trying to break into a car. The individuals were contacted who had locked their key in the car and were trying to get in.

Report of a found bicycle — The bike was placed into lost and found.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a possible burglary — Reporting party stated that she observed an individual attempting to break into a vehicle. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

DEC. 20

Report of an unattended child — Reporting party stated that a small child was observed walking down the roadway unattended. When officers arrived to the area. The child was home.

Report of a death — Officer received a report of an unresponsive female. When officers arrived at the residence C.P.R. was started and the individual was taken to E.R. by ambulance where she was pronounced dead. The individual was identified as Twilight A. Jackson age 41 of Ely.

Report of a suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that while he was sleeping someone had entered into his home. Officer investigated the incident and reported that the home was for sale and that the realtor had shown the home during the time period reported.

Report of a welfare check — Officer reported that a friend had given the individual a ride home.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that he had lost his wallet and now someone is using his debit card. Investigation continues.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated she thought someone was living in the basement of a vacant home. The home was checked and found to be secured.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was causing a disturbance at a local restaurant. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Penny S. Forman age 49 of Las Vegas was arrested on another’s jurisdictional warrant.

Report of deer in the roadway — The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol

Report of a juvenile problem — Report was given to Tribal Police.

DEC. 21

Report of a fight — Officers received a report of a fight that was taking place at a local bar. Officers contacted the parties involved and trespassed one of them from the bar. The other who was identified as the victim in the battery requested no enforcement action be taken.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Robert J. Tilley age 50 of Ely was arrested for basic speed, D.U.I., obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest, transporting a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.

Report of a traffic hazard — Reporting party stated that a vehicle was parked in the travel lane. When officers arrived the vehicle had left the area.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that she loaned some money to a friend and when she asked for the money back he became mad. When the friend left her residence she believes he cut a hole in one of her vehicles tires. Investigation continues.

Report of a dog problem — Report was given to Ely Animal Control.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that her babysitter had stolen a bottle of alcohol from them. The babysitter was issued a citation for petit larceny.

Report of vandalism — Reporting party stated that someone had damaged some Christmas decorations in the McGill area.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that a stray dog had entered into her yard and was being aggressive. Officer located the dog, but it fled the area.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual who had caused problems at her home previously had returned. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.
