Bu Julie Kirch
Learning Bridge Chairman of the Board
Learning Bridge would like to honor Audrae Andrea, a para professional at Learning Bridge. Audrae came to us last year as a volunteer. She and her husband live on a ranch in Spring Valley. She had been homeschooling her children but when Learning Bridge opened she and her husband Art decided to drive their children into Ely to attend school.
Audrae asked to volunteer at the school while her children were in class. She worked with our children in math and listened to and encouraged many students to read. It didn’t take our administration long to recognize what a positive effect Audrae was having with the children.
When funding became available for an ELL instructor and for a Title I para-professional Audrae applied and was hired by Learning Bridge. She continues to act as our ELL facilitator and works with specific children on a daily basis.
Audrea also helps with our lunch program, our playground supervision and is a substitute for our After School Program. Kids respect her for her genuine, caring concern for their well-being and academic progress.
Audrea is a hardworking, conscientious employee, who models a traditional work ethic and positive attitude for Learning Bridge students.
