Report of an abandoned vehicle — Officer contacted the owner of the vehicle and advised him to remove it from the roadway.

Report of a problem with a student — Officer received a report of a student at a local school that was being disruptive. The student and his parent were contacted and the issue was resolved.

Report of possible child abuse — Officer investigated the incident and reported that no abuse had occurred.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had gained access to his checking account and had made two transaction. His banking establishment was notified and the incident was documented.

Report of suspicious phone calls — Reporting party stated that she received several unwanted text messages. The sender of the messages was not identified. The incident was documented.

Report of a probation violation — Reporting party stated that an individual whom she knows was violating the conditions of his probation. Officer investigated the incident and reported that no violation had occurred.

Report of a battery — Officer contacted the parties involved who denied any altercation had taken place.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of a man yelling at a woman. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of an alarm — The building was checked and found to be secure.

Report of a truancy — A student was deemed a habitual truant and was issued a citation.  A report was completed and submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a private property accident — Carol Sena-Quintana, of Ely, was in a parking lot and was backing from a parked position.  As she did so, she struck another parked vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of harassment — The reporting party complained about a female harassing her.  A report was completed and the investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party claimed none of her kids would listen to her. The children were spoken to and agreed to help out around the house.

Report of a welfare check — The reporting party claimed his elderly father was missing.  His father was later located by authorities driving around Elko.  He was transported to the hospital for observation.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that someone keeps ringing her door bell and then running away. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and issued him a warning.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a local business. The business was checked and the owner of the business was contacted who locked the door.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and he was issued a citation for parking in a roadway and failure to maintain lane of travel.

Report of a stuck vehicle — The area was patrolled, but no vehicle was located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer received a report of a domestic argument taking place at a local restaurant. When officers arrived the individuals involved had left the area.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked near a home. The area was checked and no problems were located.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer received a report of a noise disturbance at a local apartment complex. The occupant of the apartment was contacted who was playing his TV too loud. He was advised to keep the peace.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Cameron M, Varney age 21 of Ely was arrested for driving suspended.

Report of a stolen vehicle — Reporting party stated that her vehicle had been stolen from her residence. The vehicle was located in the Ely area. Several suspects have been identified and officers are attempting to locate them.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and she was fine.

Report of a sexual assault — Reporting party stated that she had been sexually assaulted by an individual. The reporting party received medical attention at the local hospital. Investigation continues.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who gave conflicting statements on what had occurred. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a customer at her place of business was causing a disturbance. The customer was contacted and trespassed from the business.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local motel. The individual was contacted and advised to keep the peace.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. The parties separated for the night.

Report of a found purse — Officer reported finding a purse in the roadway. The owner of the purse was contacted and it was returned.

Report of an open door — Reporting party stated that a door was open on a residence. The residence was checked and the door secured.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that he was having problems with the motel manager where he had rented a room. Officer contacted the parties involved and the reporting party removed his property from the motel room and left the area.

Report of a residence check — Reporting party stated that there were lights on in her residence and there shouldn’t be. The residence was checked and no problems were located.

Report of a lost hiker — Reporting party stated that his girlfriend went for a hike on Ward Mountain and hadn’t returned at the designated time. Officers searched the area and she was located. She had lost the trail and had become lost.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer located the individual who was intoxicated and had passed out in an alleyway. The subject was detained at the PSB until he was sober.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Juan G. Iribe Jr age 19 of Ely was arrested for unlicensed driver and no insurance.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Ty J. Sage age 19 of Kaibeto, AZ was arrested for D.U.I., open container of alcohol and minor in consumption of alcohol.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Schyler L. Roberts age 20 of Ely was arrested on a probation violation.

Report of an accident — Andrea Orrillo of Ely was operating a vehicle entering onto Great Basin Blvd from a private drive. Orrillo failed to see a vehicle being operated by Reannan Peacock of Ely who was traveling on Great Basin Blvd. Orrillo’s vehicle struck Peacock’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed and Orrillo was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Report of an accident — Jay Derbidge of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. He failed to see a stop sign behind him and struck it. The incident was documented.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer contacted the occupants of the home and reported that the occupant had locked himself out of the home and had climbed through a window to gain access.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that her vehicle was parked at a local parking lot and someone struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — Officer checked on the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of an attempted break in — Reporting party stated that someone had attempted to break into her home. Officer located a door jamb that had been damage, but entry into the home had not occurred. The incident was documented.

Report of a dog at large — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised her to keep it contained.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that she had been battered by her boyfriend. When officers attempted to contact the reporting party she refused any communication. The incident was documented.
