FEB. 25

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a propane tank leak — Officer contacted the owner of the tank and he was going to have the valve fixed.

Report of dogs at large — The report was given to Ely Animal Control.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Brittney J. Valdez age 20 of Ely was arrested on a District Court warrant.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that an argument had taken place over the removal of an individual from a home. Both parties gave conflicting statement on what had taken place. One of the individual’s involved was trespassed from the home.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Marlene M. Plascencia age 24 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer reported that he contacted the operator of the vehicle and identified her as Raelynn N. Mitchell age 18 of Ely. During the officers contact with Mitchell she was arrested for being in possession of a dangerous drug.

Report of a suicide — Officer received a report of a death that had occurred at a local residence. Officer identified the deceased as Liam M. Shaw age 19 of Ely. During the investigation it was determined that the deceased had taken his own life.

Report of a battery — Officer received a report of a student that had been battered by a teacher at a local school. Investigation continues.

Report of an open door — Officer contacted the owner of the home who had forgotten to secure the door.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was intoxicated and was causing a problem at a local bar. The individual was contacted and advised to leave.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Emily E. Spoelstra age 21 of Ely was arrested on a Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of an alarm — The building was checked and the building was secure.

Report of suspicious circumstances — The reporting party claimed to know about a threat of violence against several people.  The investigation continues.

FEB. 27

Report of a burglary — Reporting party stated that someone entered into her home while she was sleeping and stole some money and jewelry. Investigation continues.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individuals who had been hired by a banking establishment to clean up a building. No crime had occurred.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his apartment and stole his mediation. Investigation continues.

Report of a drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an identity theft — Reporting party stated that someone was using his identity. A report was completed.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer located the vehicle and a warning was issued to the driver.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual who was working on the train tracks. No crime had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was hanging around a local apartment complex bothering people. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.

Report of a barking dog — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised her of the complaint.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Devin R. Wooten age 28 of Ely was arrested on a Ely Justice Court warrant.

Report of a fight — Officer contacted one of the juveniles involved who stated that he had a verbal argument with several other juveniles. The other juveniles involved had left the area.  The incident was documented.

Report of an accident — Reporting party stated that a vehicle passed his and a rock hit his windshield causing damage. A report was completed.

Report of an accident — Report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a fight— Officer reported that it was a verbal argument and the parties involved left the bar.

Report of a hit and run accident — Reporting party stated that he had parked his vehicle in a local parking lot. When he returned to his vehicle someone had struck it with another car. An accident report was completed.

Report of found drug paraphernalia — Reporting party stated that he had found an item used to inhale drugs. The item was collected and destroyed.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer made contact with the individuals involved and reported that it was a verbal argument. The parties involved were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the individual and advised him to turn his music down. He complied.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Tristian A. Perez age 18 of Ely was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual loitering in a yard. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a customer was causing a disturbance at a local store. The customer was contacted and trespassed from the store.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Lewis B. Allred age 27 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant. He was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a dangerous drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

MARCH 1

Report of an intoxicated person — Officer received a report of an intoxicated person in an alleyway. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a problem with a subject  — Reporting party stated that she is separated from her husband, but he keeps calling her. The husband was contacted and advised to stop calling.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer located an elderly female who had fallen inside her home. The female was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that her ex-husband keeps sender her text messages. The ex-husband was contacted and advised to stop his contact with the reporting party.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that someone had shot his vehicle he had parked on his ranch property. Officer reported that the vehicle had its windows shot out along with several tires. Investigation continues.

Report of a custody problem — Officer contacted the parties involved who were having a disagreement over visitation rights. The incident was documented.

Report of a dog at large — The dog was captured and placed into the dog pound.

Report of a fire — Officer reported that it was a controlled camp fire.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the female who had locked herself inside a bathroom and was threatening to harm herself. Officers entered the bathroom and detained the female. She was taken to E.R for medical assistance.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

MARCH 2

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a student at a local school who had threatened another student with a knife. Officer reported that contact was made with the students involved. The student that had brandished the knife was taken into custody and transported to the Elko Detention Center.

Report of a dog bite — Reporting party stated that she was taking care of the family member’s dog when it bite her. The reporting party received medical attention at the clinic.

Report of possible child abuse — Officer received a report of a child that was possible being abused. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her roommate was trying to get her evicted from their apartment. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that someone had cut their fence allowing their dogs to get out. The incident was documented.

Report of an accident/ private property — Stephanie Davenport of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. She failed to see a vehicle behind her being operated by Brendan Harmon of Ely. Davenport’s vehicle struck Harmon’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of a barking dog — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised him of the problem.

MARCH 3

Report of an alarm — The building was checked and found to be secure.

Report of a battery — Two juvenile females were reportedly involved in a fight. Both juveniles were released to the custody of their parents and reports were completed to be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a music disturbance — When officers arrived, the music had been turned off.

Report of vandalism — The reporting party claimed someone shot the front window of his workplace with a pellet gun. A report was completed.

Report of suspicious circumstances — A vehicle was found parked in the driveway of a home known to be vacant and have no owner.  It was later discovered the home had been recently purchased.

Report of found property — The reporting party claimed to have found three incendiary devices while exploring in the hills.  The devices were destroyed.

Report of drugs — the reporting party claimed someone was using drugs in a room at the motel where she is employed.  Contact was made with the occupants of the room and it was found they had medical marijuana card.

Report of a domestic dispute — Both parties admitted getting into a fight over child custody.  Both parties were found to have committed a mutual battery against each other, but no primary physical aggressor could be determined. A report was completed and will be forwarded to the City Attorney for review for prosecution.

Report of an arrest — 29 year old Patric Lewis, of Lund, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Ely Justice Court.

Report of an arrest — 48 year old Paula Jean Ogden, of McGill, was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Ely Municipal Court.
