MARCH 11

Report of a barking dog — Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised her of the complaint.

Report of an accident — Officer made contact with an individual who had crashed on his motorcycle. The individual was checked by EMT’S and refused any type of medical treatment.

Report of a lost and found item — A duffel bag was located and placed into lost and found.

Report of a suicidal subject — Officer contacted the individual who was taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of a juvenile problem — Several juveniles reported that an adult male had yelled at them while they were riding their bicycles. Officer contacted the male adult and who stated that the juveniles were riding their bikes in the roadway and would not move.

Report of a violation of a court order — Reporting party stated that an individual had violated a protective order they have in place. During the officer’s investigation no violation had occurred.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that they had been involved in a verbal argument. The parties separated for the night.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Russell L. Bainbridge age 24 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Ericson D. Skye age 34 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court.

MARCH 12

Report of a domestic dispute — An officer was hailed by a citizen and advised of a verbal argument at a motel between a male and female. Upon arrival, officers located a couple who were talking. Unfounded.

Report of 911 hangup — Upon officer arrival, entry was made into the residence. A subject was found lying on the floor and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Report of a missing person — The reporting party states a male and female went for a ride in the mountains and have not returned. The subjects were located by a citizen.

Report of a private property hit and run accident — Upon arrival a vehicle had been damaged and a note with the proper information had been left. Contact was made with the operator of the striking vehicle and an accident report was completed.

Report of a truant student — Contact between the school and parent had not occurred. After speaking with the parent, the school excused the absences.

Report of possible molestation — The reporting party stated a possible molestation occurred in another jurisdiction. Reporting party was provided the contact information for the Law Enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.

Report of property damage — Upon returning from an out of town trip, the reporting party found their vehicle’s rear window shattered. Investigation continues.

Report of embezzlement — Reporting party had loaned a vehicle out in return for services to be rendered. The reporting party does not feel the services have been rendered and requests the vehicle be returned. Contact was made with borrower of the vehicle who agreed to return the vehicle.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party requested a subject be trespassed. The subject was contacted and advised of the trespass warning.

Report of a problem with a subject — The reporting party states his wife has been living with her ex-husband and she requested the reporting party come pick her up. The reporting party was advised to call if there was a problem.

Report of a theft — The reporting party stated a phone was taken from a backpack while at school. Investigation continues.

Report of a theft — The reporting party claimed a theft of shirts and pants from a storage closet. The investigation continues.

Report of an arrest — An officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding. Contact was made with Katherine Kunz, 29, of Washington. Kunz was arrested for driving under the influence.

Report of a domestic dispute — Contact was made with the disputing parties. Bryan Schroeder, 55 of Ely was subsequently arrested for domestic battery with strangulation.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen the internet antennae from her place of business. Investigation continues.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted text messages and phone calls from an individual. Officer is attempting to contact the caller.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that his daughter witnessed an individual littering. When the daughter told the individual not to litter the person chased the daughter. Officers are attempting to locate the individual.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that a large group of juveniles were jumping on people’s property and vandalizing things. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Malachi D. Olson age 22 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of an open door — Officer located an open door on a local motel. The room was checked and the door secured.

Report of an intoxicated subject — Officer located the individual who was sleeping on a bench at a local school. He was escorted off the property.

Report of a shoplifter — Reporting party stated that a person had removed several items from his store without paying for them. The individual was identified and will be issued a citation for petit larceny when located.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that her grandchildren were not following the rules of the home and had locked themselves in their room. The children were contacted and spoken to about following the rules.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual and assisted her in getting a ride home.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted text messages from her ex-husband. The reporting party was advised to block his number.

Report of a possible drunk driver — Officer contacted the driver who stated she had been using her cell phone while driving. She was advised of the consequences of doing so.

Report of an ATL — Officer received an ATL from Eureka County on an elderly female traveling to the Ely area. The area was patrolled, but she was not located.

Report of a battery — Officer received a report of an individual who had been battered and was receiving medical attention. The reporting party identified the individual who had battered her. The individual was issued a citation for battery.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Michael L. Mee age 26 of Ely was arrested for disturbing the peace, obstructing a police officer, and resisting arrest.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual who was moving out of her apartment. Officer reported that no problems occurred.

Report of a found syringe — The item was collected and destroyed.

Report of a battery — Officer contacted the parties involved who admitted to hitting each other. The parties separated for the night and were advised to contact law enforcement when they sobered up if they wished to pursue the incident.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that William L. Hay age 34 of Reno was arrested for D.U.I.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer received a report of a horn on a vehicle that kept going off. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised.

Report of a missing firearm — Reporting party stated that a gun was missing from her home. She reported that the gun was last seen a week ago. It is unknown if the gun was stolen of misplaced. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and she was fine.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Brittney J. Valdez age 20 of Ruth was arrested on a probation violation.

Report of fireworks — The area was patrolled, but no fireworks were located.

Report of a medical assist — Officer received a report of an individual who was unresponsive. The individual was contacted who stated that he was fine and requested no assistance.

Report of an abandoned vehicle — The vehicle was tagged for removal.

Report of a suspicious e-mail — Reporting party stated that she received an e-mail indicating she needed to appear for court. The reporting party was advised it was a scam.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that one of the parties had just been terminated from his employment. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of an open door — Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant business. The business was checked and the responsible party for the building was advised to secure it.

Report of a violation of a court order — Officer investigated the incident and reported that no violation had occurred.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Ruth S. Beland age 97 of McGill died at her residence of natural causes.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a diagnostic tool had been stolen from his shop. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she received a telephone call from an individual whom she has a protective order against. Officer is attempting to contact the caller.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer contacted several juveniles who were riding their bikes in a restricted area. They were advised to leave.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a juvenile who was outside yelling. No other problems were located.

Report of a 911 call — Officer contacted an elderly female who was having problems using her phone. Officer assisted her with her phone call.
