Ely’s Chapter C P.E.O. is having its fourth annual spring auction, this year entitled “Art and More …An Auction.” The event will take place Friday, April 10, at the Bristlecone Convention Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Advance tickets are $10 at Economy Drug Store, White Pine Chamber of Commerce, and the Bristlecone Convention Center or by calling 775-296-1040. Tickets purchased at the door will be $12.

A no-host bar and hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Attendees can browse both silent and live auction items and the live auction will begin at 7 p.m.  “Zeke and Friends” will be providing live entertainment. “Zeke and Friends” is a musical trio consisting of Zeke Torres and sisters Lauren and Grace Palfreyman.  All three are students at Eskdale High School, and have performed in numerous shows, concerts and recitals at Eskdale, at the Utah State Regional and Final Music Competitions, and at Branson, Missouri.

Zeke is a junior at Eskdale High School, and recently returned from auditioning in Chicago for The Voice.  He plays clarinet, guitar, piano, and ukulele in addition to his singing.  Besides music, some of his interests include acting, public speaking, sports, and riding dirt bikes.  After high school, Zeke is interested in going to college and becoming a professional vocal performer and entrepreneur.  “I am able to be a part of so many things despite coming from a small place and school.  I try to be involved in as much as I can.  I’ve never felt I was limited living in a small community.  Instead, it taught me to challenge myself to work harder.”

Grace is a senior at Eskdale High School.  She has been playing the piano for ten years, and has studied with teachers both in California and Utah.  She is currently taking lessons from Doug Childs.  In addition to her music, Grace enjoys track, cross country, dancing and reading.  She plans to attend Dixie State University in the fall, and major in music with an emphasis on piano. “I want to be an accompanist and private piano teacher.  I am a strong advocate for the arts and music, and want to bring music to rural areas.”

Lauren is a sophomore at Eskdale High School.  She began her studies of violin and piano at age eight, and currently studies both violin and piano with Lois Faber. Lauren enjoys music, track, cross country, and eating good food.    “I plan to go to college and major in music, with an emphasis on violin.  I plan on playing the violin for as long as I can and I want to get as good as I can.”

Proceeds from this event will provide scholarships for local high school graduates living in White Pine County as in previous years.  Come enjoy a fun evening with friends and family while supporting education in White Pine County.
