Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are leased by law enforcement agencies that include the WPCSO, Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely Shoshone Tribal Police and other local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies.

APRIL 22

Report of a burglary — Officer received a report of an individual breaking into a residence. Officer contacted the individual who had locked himself out of his home and broke a window to gain access.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local motel. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local business. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the business.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer reported that it was school children playing in the area.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of a fight that had occurred between several juveniles. The juveniles and their parents were contacted and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a dog running at large. The dog was located and the owner was issued a citation for dog at large and failure to license the dog.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer received a report of several children who were afraid to go home due to domestic violence issues that were occurring there. The mother was contacted who indicated she was staying with friends and not returning to the home.

Report of a suicidal subject — Officer contacted the individual who was taken to E.R. to receive medical assistance.

Report of dogs at large — The dogs were located and contained. They were then taken to the Ely Dog Pound.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that several juveniles were riding their bikes near her car. The juveniles were contacted and advised to ride elsewhere.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that a juvenile had rode his bike by his home and had yelled profanities at him. The area was patrolled, but the juvenile was not located.

Report of a noise disturbance — Officer contacted several individuals throwing knives at a target in their backyard. They were advised to keep the peace.

APRIL 23

Report of a welfare check — The subject was contacted and found to be fine.

Report of a drug problem — Two subjects were allegedly using drugs near a public restroom. The subjects were gone when law enforcement arrived.

Report of a sexual assault — The juvenile victim claimed to have been sexually assaulted at a younger age while living in another county.  The case was forwarded to the law enforcement agency having jurisdiction.

Report of a delayed private property accident — The reporting party claimed to have been in an accident in a private parking lot.  The reporting party didn’t elaborate how or when the accident occurred, but claimed no one was injured and they exchanged information with the other driver.

Report of an arrest — 34 year old Ely resident Benjamin Bruno Delgrande was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Report of found property — While on foot patrol, a deputy located an electronic tablet in an alley.  The tablet was placed into lost and found.

APRIL 24

Report of a found wallet — Officer received a report of a wallet that was left at a local business. The wallet was collected and placed into the lost and found.

Report of a vehicle blocking a driveway — Officer contacted a family member of the owner who had the vehicle moved.

Report of a custody problem — Reporting party stated that his ex-wife was in violation of their child custody order. The incident was documented.

Report of a suicidal subject — Officer contacted the individual and she was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of a fight — Officer contacted the parties involved who denied that any fight had taken place.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer received a report of an elderly female who had fallen and had been assisted by a citizen back to her home. Officer contacted the parties involved.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Margaret Moser age 89 of Neva High Rail Ranch died at her residence of natural causes.

Report of a fight — Officer reported that when they arrived at the local bar they were advised that the person causing the problem had left the area.

APRIL 25

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that it was parked and unoccupied.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of possible child neglect — Officer received a report of two small children that were left alone at their home and one of them had also received an injury to his hand. Officer contacted the father who denied the allegation and stated the injury happened when the child was playing on a wagon. Investigation continues.

Report of a possible drunk driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a found purse — The purse was returned to the owner.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual making threats towards his neighbors. The individual was contacted and advised to keep the peace.

APRIL 26

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop Leonardo Trimino-Noble age 34 of Las Vegas was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, license plate lamp required, driving suspended, possession of stolen property, and ex-felon in possession of a firearm. A passenger in the vehicle identified as Jose M.Flores-Tellez age 26 of Henderson was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Report of an accident — Lyle Green of Ely reported that while his vehicle was parked and unattended at a local business some struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle then fled the scene. A report was completed.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juvenile playing around a power box. The juveniles and their guardian were contacted and advised of the consequences of playing around the power box.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Nikkey J. Bronson age 26 of Ely was arrested on a probation violation

Report of counterfeit money — Reporting party stated that an individual had attempted to pass counterfeit money at her place of employment. Officer contacted the individual and during the officers investigation determined the money was counterfeit. The parties involved were unknowing of the counterfeit money. Investigation continues.

Report of a death — Officer reported that George Barela age 91 of Ely died at his residence of natural causes.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that her child was playing with a doll and acting out with it. When the child was questioned about her actions she indicated she had learned it while playing with another child. The incident was documented.

APRIL 27

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles who had built a campfire and were causing a disturbance. Officer contacted the juveniles and extinguished the fire. Their parent was also contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a welfare check — Officer was unable to locate the individuals. Officers will continue to look in the Ely area.

Report of unattended children — Reporting party stated that two small children had been left alone in a vehicle. When officers arrived the parents were present. They were warned about leaving their children unattended.

Report of a dog problem — The area was patrolled, but the dog at large was not located.

APRIL 28

Report of a burglary — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his home and attempted to steal his medication. Officers reported several individuals were contacted and the investigation continues.

Report of a battery — Reporting party stated that he had been battered several days ago and now he wanted to report it. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual had parked in front of her home and was sitting in her car for a long period of time. Officer contacted the individual who stated that she was talking on her phone. Officer reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that a juvenile had stolen a cell phone. The juvenile and her parent were contacted and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a citizen assist — Officer received a report of a female laying in the roadway having problems breathing. The female was contacted who requested no assistance.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a sexual assault — Officer received a report of an individual who thought she had been sexually assaulted. During the officer’s investigation and interview with the victim the accusation was unfounded.

Report of an accident — When officers arrived to the scene the vehicles involved were not located.

Report of a drunk driver — Officer located the vehicle and reported that it was parked and unoccupied. Officer spoke to the responsible party for the vehicle and advised him not to drive.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer located the operator of the ATV and advised him of the complaint. The individual advised he was done riding for the day.

Report of a traffic hazard — Officer received a report of a campaign sign that was blocking the view of traffic. The owner of the property where the sign was located was contacted and advised to remove the sign.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of several juveniles messing around with things in a person’s yard. The area was patrolled, but not juveniles were located.
