JUNE 24

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was outside of his residence naked. The individual was contacted and taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a bad check — The reporting party had received a check for payment of services. When he attempted to deposit the check it was returned for non-sufficient funds. The check was turned over to the District Attorney’s Office for collections.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual walks by her home and teases her dogs. The incident was documented.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that her ex-husband had disabled her vehicle so it doesn’t run.  Officer reported when located the ex-husband will be issued a citation for tampering with a motor vehicle.

Report of identity theft — Reporting party stated that the IRS sent him notification that his social security number was being used by someone else. A report was completed.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen a radio from her vehicle. Several citizens had located the radio near the area, but it was damaged. The incident was documented.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that someone had used her debit card in another state, without her permission.  Reporting party had already notified her banking establishment. A report was completed.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer located the individual and reported that he needed assistance. Assistance was provided.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the individuals involved and reported that one of them was taken to E.R. by ambulance due to irrational behavior. Investigation continues.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that he was fine. His vehicle had broken down so assistance was provided.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that two juveniles had gotten into an argument over a scooter. The parties involved were contacted and provided counselling.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a burglary — Reporting party stated that an individual had entered into his place of employment and removed some items. Investigation continues.

Report of harassment — Reporting party stated that an individual was sending her unwanted text messages that were accusatory stating she was abusing her children. Officer is attempting to contact the sender of the text messages.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer contacted the individual and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen the license plate off his vehicle. A report was completed.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had taken some items from his home. Officer investigated the incident and reported that it was unfounded.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen her medication from her home. Investigation continues.

Report of a domestic battery — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that Rebecca A. Klippert age 43 of Ely was arrested for domestic battery. She is accused of battering her husband.

Report of a welfare check — Officer received a report of a female walking on a rural highway. The area was patrolled, but she was not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. One of the parties involved left the residence.

JUNE 26

Report of an intoxicated person — Officer reported that he located a individual sleeping on a public lawn. Due to the individuals level of intoxicating he was detained until sober.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and advised him of the complaint. He denied the allegation. A warning was issued.

Report of an accident — Dawn Stanley of Ely was operating a vehicle turning from Ave M onto Great Basin Blvd. Wyatt Mowray of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Great Basin Blvd. Stanley failed to yield to Mowray causing an accident. An accident report was completed and Stanley was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Report of a suspicious subject — The individual was contacted and no crime had occurred.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a bad check — Reporting party stated that she had received a check for services provided, but it was returned by the bank for insufficient funds. The check was collected and turned over to the City Attorney for collections.

Report of an unattended child — Officer received a report of a small child wandering around a local parking lot unattended. The mother and child were contacted and advised of the consequences of allowing this to take place. A report was sent to D.C.F.S.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a disturbance — Reporting party stated that motorcycles are riding by his home causing a disturbance. The area was patrolled, but the motorcycles were not located.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated he believes someone had entered into his apartment when he was not at home. He stated nothing was missing from the residence. The incident was documented.

Report of a cat bite — Reporting party stated that her child had been bitten by a stray cat. The child received medical attention at E.R.

New bookings — Anthony Robles / Possession of methamphetamine, transporting a controlled substance, D.U.I., illegal standing or parking, and possession of drug paraphernalia/ Bail $30,000./ Arrested by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

JUNE 27

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had stolen her Nexus Tablet from her home. Several individuals were contacted who denied taking the tablet. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident — Officer received a report of a juvenile who was riding a four wheeler and was involved in an accident. Officer reported that the juvenile was the only person involved.

Report of a death — Officer reported that Cheryl I. Giron age 53 of Ely, NV age died at a friend’s residence in Ruth, NV. . She was taken to the Clark County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause of death. Investigation continues.

Report of a traffic control — Officer assisted the Nevada Highway Patrol with traffic control on Murry Summit. A semi-truck had broken down and was blocking a lane of travel.

Report of a fight — Officer received a report of a fight that had occurred at a local camping area. One of the parties involved was contacted and provided information on what had occurred. The other party involved had left the area. Investigation continues.

JUNE 28

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted an intoxicated person who stated that he had been asked to leave an event due to his intoxicated state. The subject stated that his children were left with friends and he was concerned about them. Officer reported that the children were staying with family members.

Report of an injured deer in the roadway — Officer located the deer and due to injure it has sustained by being hit by a vehicle it was put down and removed from the roadway.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Daniel C. Vivar age 32 of Moscow, ID was arrested for no resident driving suspended, no insurance, unregistered vehicle and on a Nevada Highway Patrol warrant out of Henderson Justice Court. A passenger in the vehicle who was identified as Peter S. Vivar age 27 of Las Vegas, NV was arrested on a Henderson Justice Court warrant. Another passenger in the vehicle was identified as Kalena D. Flores age 33 of Las Vegas, NV She was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a fight — Officer received a report of a fight that was taking place at a local bar. When officers arrived the people involved in the fight had left the area.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of several subjects throwing beer bottles in the roadway. The area was patrolled, but no problems were located.

Report of a hit and run accident — Russell Holt of Littleton, CO reported that while his vehicle was parked at a local parking lot someone struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had fled the scene. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that she has been having problems with a subject and wanted him trespassed from her property. Officer contacted the individual and advised him not to return to the reporting party’s residence.

Report of a hit and run accident — Edgar Mendoza of Ely reported that while his vehicle was parked at a local parking lot someone had struck it with another vehicle. The striking vehicle had left the scene. A report was completed.

Report of counterfeit money — Reporting party stated that an individual had attempted to use the money in a slot machine. Officer inspected the money and reported that it was counterfeit. The money was collected and individual who had the money was questioned.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a missing child — Officer received a report of a child that went missing from a local church. During the search for the child he was located sleeping inside the church.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a verbal argument. During the officers investigation Stacy Carrico age 53 of Ely was arrested for obstructing a police officer.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted the individual who needed medical attention. She was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of an accident — Jackie Hanson of Ely reported that while operating a vehicle on US 6 east she struck a deer causing damage to her vehicle. An accident report was completed.

JUNE 29

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that her husband was refusing to give her the keys to their vehicle. Officer contacted the parties involved and advised them it was a civil problem.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that someone had gained access to his debit card number and had made an unauthorized purchase with it. He was advised to contact his banking establishment and to cancel his debit card.

Report of several bad checks — Reporting party stated that an individual had written several no-sufficient fund checks to her place of business. Officer collected the checks and turn them over to the City Attorney for collections.

Report of a welfare check — Officer was unable to locate the individual at her residence.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer patrolled the area, but the individual was not located.

Report of a scam — Reporting party stated that he received a letter in the mail along with a check stating he had won some money. The letter informed him to cash the check and send a portion of it back to claim his prize.  Officer advised it was a scam and to destroy the letter and check.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

JUNE 30

Report of a theft — Reporting party stated that someone had entered into his residence and stole some money he had placed inside a jar. Investigation continues.

Report of a disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. During the officers investigation one of the parties involved was identified as Isaac M. Wheeler age 21 of Ely. Wheeler was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were having an argument with their daughter. The daughter left the residence to resolve the problem.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that a dog was left inside a vehicle and all the windows were up on the vehicle. Officer patrolled the area, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that a friend of hers who she communicates with on Face Book was now sending her threatening messages. The parties involved were contacted who blamed each other for the messages. They were all advised to stop their contact with each other.

Report of a dog problem — Reporting party stated that her dog had been illegally taken from her property.  Officer investigated the incident and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of property not being returned — Officer received a report of library books that were not being returned. Officer located the individual who had not returned the books and identified her as Jessica Green age 36 of Ely. Green was issued a citation for unlawful detention of library good. Green was also arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer contacted two individuals who were arguing over payment for work performed. The situation was resolved when one of the individuals paid the other for the work. The parties then separated.

Report of a fire — Report was given to the Ely BLM.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer located the vehicle and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were yelling at each other. They were advised to keep the peace.
