The Ely Times Movie Corner is a new weekly feature in partnership with Ely’s Central Theater to provide previews for movies coming to town and movies coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD.

The Ely Central Theater will begin showing Disney Pixar’s latest animated film Inside Out on Friday, July 24. The family friendly film follows a young girl’s journey as she is forced to move to San Francisco. As the main character Riley experiences the changes that come along with moving to a new city, the audience gets to experience exactly how she is feeling through seeing her emotions come to life in the form of five color-coded characters, who each serve as a primary emotion.

The film predominately takes place inside Riley’s mind as the celebrity voiced characters of Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness each try to help the young girl navigate through this big new change in her life. The film is the latest in the storied line of Pixar animated films such as the Toy Story trilogy, Finding Nemo, Monster’s Inc and Up and has been praised by critics for being a creative and fun spin spin on a relatable story. Inside Out is rated PG and has a runtime of 94 minutes.
