Dr. Ming-Wei Wu
Nation-wide Leader in Wound Care Lectures at White Pine Care Center
Dr. Ming-Wei Wu, a leading wound care specialist and surgeon now practicing in the Las Vegas Valley, in-serviced White Pine Care Center staff on June 18th. As part of the Care Center’s goals to become a leading facility in complex wound care, the state ATOP program sponsored Dr. Wu to provide education at the facility. “Dr. Wu’s lecture was awesome! He was very approachable and we are feeling very excited to have been educated by a specialist of his caliber. We learned so much.” Said Chris Kruckenberg, White Pine’s Director of Nursing. Michelle Gardner, Administrator of the Care Center added that it was excellent motivation towards meeting our goals of becoming a top nursing facility in the state of Nevada. “We have doubled our R.N.’s in the past year. We are now providing I.V. therapy and treating higher acuity. The last several months we have received top scores on our resident and family satisfaction surveys. Increasing our wound knowledge is key to our planning. It is all coming together. We are working on building a solid foundation of skilled care and a higher quality of life for our residents”.
