She was born on October 17, 1926 to Neils and Johanna Kellstrom in Modesto, California.
She attended school and Junior college in Modesto and was very active in sports. She was a very accomplished skier and once tried out for the Olympic Ski team.
She met William R. Marsh while she was in college and they were later married on June 4, 1949. They moved to the Reno area where they resided for twenty years. Wanda and Bill had six children .
After her divorce, she want back to school to finish her teaching degree. After graduating, she moved to Ely and taught school in Ruth, McGill and Ely for twenty years before retiring in 1990.
After retiring, she married George Benninghove from McGill and they began their snowbird life style. They traveled south every winter and enjoyed life. Wanda was an excellent golfer and was State Senior Champion one year.
They continued snowbirding until they just couldn’t do it any more. She spent her final years in Reno in the care of her loving daughters.
She is survived by her children; Kris Marsh, Dennis Marsh, Kerry Sarras, Kelly Marsh, Cindy Collins, Billy Marsh, Shaun Benninghove and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
