Information will not be withheld at the requests of persons whose names appear in the blotter or elsewhere in the newspaper that are released by law enforcement agencies that include the WPCSO, Nevada Highway Patrol, Ely Shoshone Tribal Police and other local, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies.

JULY 22

Report of a disturbance — Officer received a report of several subjects yelling and causing a disturbance. Officer contacted one of the parties involved who was identified as Joshua E. Ross age 21 of Ely. During the officers investigation Ross was arrested for disturbing the peace.

Report of property damage — Reporting party stated that a window screen to one of his windows on his home had been cut. No other damage to the home was located. The incident was documented.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that she had loaned her vehicle to a friend, but the friend hadn’t returned the vehicle. Officer contacted the friend and he advised that the vehicle had been towed by a local tow company. The reporting party was advised.

Report of a fraud — Reporting party stated that someone has been using his debit card without his permission. The reporting parties banking establishment was notified.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that a company had done some construction work for her employer, but she felt the employer was over charged. Officer contacted the company who stated that the work performed and price had been previously agreed to.  Both parties involved were advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a dog problem — Officer received a report of a barking dog. Officer attempted to contact the reporting party to identify which dog she was complaining about, but the reporting party wouldn’t respond.

JULY 23

Report of a noise disturbance — The reporting party complained about a music disturbance.  When officers arrived, the cacophony had ceased.

Report of an intoxicated driver — A concerned citizen observed two people she believed to be intoxicated and preparing to drive.  Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the couple.

Report of a juvenile problem — The juveniles were reportedly riding their bikes in the roadway.  Contact was made with the juveniles and they were advised to be careful when riding.

Report of a suspicious subject — A subject was allegedly driving around a playground while children were playing.  The unoccupied  vehicle was located nearby and was found to be registered to a resident who lives in the area.

Report of a barking dog — The owner of the offending canine was contacted and they advised they’d address the issue.

Report of an ATV disturbance — Contact was made with the ATV rider and he was advised he couldn’t ride on the dirt road in the city.

JULY 24

Report of a fight — Officer received a report of a fight that was taking place at a local bar. Officer contacted the parties involved who were now arguing in a parking lot. The parties were separated and advised to leave the area. Officer reported that during the fight a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot was damaged by the individuals involved. Investigation continues.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Devin T. Hutchison age 30 of McGill was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Elizabeth M Faver age 25 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant

Report of a stolen vehicle — Reporting party stated that her boyfriend took her vehicle without her permission. Officer reported that the vehicle was located in the backyard of the reporting parties’ home.

Report of property damage — Officer reported that a shed at a local school had been broken into. The incident was documented.

Report of a dog at large — The report was given to Ely Animal Control.

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of a found wallet — The owner of the wallet was contacted.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that James Reeves age 53 of Logan Dale, NV was arrested on a Moapa Valley Township warrant.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were having a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the day.

Report of a suspicious vehicle — Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle who was charging the battery in the car. No crime had occurred.

Report of a reckless driver — The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that she was watching a home for a friend who was out of the Ely area, Reporting party stated that the doors on the home were found open. The home was checked and no problems were reported.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a suspicious subject — The area was patrolled, but the subjects had left the area.

JULY 25

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that during a traffic stop Kyle J. Edmod age 21 of Las Vegas was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officers assisted Ely Tribal Police with the disturbance.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that several juveniles were making a lot of noise at one of the baseball fields. The area was patrolled, but no problems were located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Drew Widell age 18 of Ely was arrested on a probation violation.

Report of an injured elk — Officer received a report of an elk that had been hit by a vehicle and was injured, but it was still alive. Officer located the elk which was deceased.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a verbal argument between family members. The situation was resolved at the scene.

Report of a fight — Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that it was a verbal argument. The parties involved were advised to stay away from each other.

JULY 26

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that an individual was working on an alleyway causing a dust disturbance. Officer forwarded the information to the City of Ely.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the individual and reported that she was fine.

Report of an animal call — Officer received a report of horses that were not being cared for. Officer reported that he provided fresh water for the horses and there was plenty of feed. Contact will be made with the owner of the horse when located.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Michael R. King age 32 of Ruth was arrested for a prohibited person failing to register.

Report of a reckless driver — Officer patrolled the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

Report of a welfare check — Officer contacted the person who was making threats to harm himself. The individual stated that he was fine and requested no assistance.

Report of a juvenile problem — Officer received a report of juveniles jumping on tables at a local park. When officers arrived the juveniles had left the area.

Report of a juvenile problem — Reporting party stated that an individual was trying to start a fight with his juvenile son. The parties involved were contacted and advised to stay away from each other.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Dangelo Hirales age 20 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

JULY 27

Report of an alarm — False alarm.

Report of suspicious circumstances — Reporting party stated that she located some broken glass inside her dog kennel.  The incident was documented.

Report of a suspicious phone call — Reporting party stated that she received a phone call from an individual claiming she owed money and if she didn’t pay it she would be arrested. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and to block the callers number.

Report of a suspicious subject — Officer received a report of an individual who had climbed through the window on a residence. Officer contacted the individual who lives at the residence and he stated he had locked his key inside the home.

Report of an illegal camper — Officer received a report of an individual who was camping at a local park. The individual was contacted and advised to leave the area.

Report of children playing in the roadway — The area was patrolled, but the children were not located.

Report of a welfare check — The individual was contacted and was fine.

JULY 28

Report of property damage — Officer received a report that someone had broken a window at a local school. The incident was documented.

Report of a custody problem — Reporting party, who lives in Utah stated that her daughter is in the Ely area visiting the childs father. Reporting party stated that her daughter was to be returned to her in Utah this month, but the father won’t return her until August. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem due to the agreement they had made over visitations.

Report of a parking problem — Officer received a report of a vehicle that was parked in the roadway and blocking a driveway. Officer located the vehicle and had it towed from the area. When the owner of the vehicle is located he will be issued a citation for the violations.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Brian Bainbridge age 31 of Ely was arrested on a Justice Court warrant out of Pahranagat Valley NV Township.

Report of a domestic disturbance — Reporting party stated that he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend and she had struck him. Officer contacted the girlfriend who denied the allegation. The parties had already separated for the day.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that she is receiving unwanted messages from two individuals and she wants them to stop contact her. Officer is attempted to contact the callers.

Report of an accident — Officer observed an individual back her vehicle into a parking barrier causing damage to the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle requested no report and there was no damage to the parking barrier.

Report of an open door — Officer located an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door secured.

Report of threats — Reporting party stated that he had received a threatening letter in the mail. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject — Reporting party stated that a co-worker is causing him problems by spreading rumors about him. Officer will contact the co-worker and speak to her about the reporting parties concerns.

Report of an accident / fatality — Officer received a report of a single vehicle accident on US 93 where the operator of the vehicle had died. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle was identified as Judith L. Hammock age 74 of Ely. Officer reported that Hammock was operating the vehicle traveling north on US 93 when the vehicle left the roadway causing it to roll. The accident is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a deer problem — Reporting party stated that a deer was trapped inside a fenced area. When officers arrived the deer had left the area.

Report of a disturbance — Officer received a report of an individual who was yelling at people as they passed by. Officer contacted the individual who denied the allegation.  He was advised to keep the peace.

Report of a civil problem — Reporting party stated that his girlfriend was moving out and taking his property. Officer investigated the incident and reported that no crime had occurred, due to the property was in both parties names.

Report of an arrest — Officer reported that Elizabeth M. Faver age 25 of Ely was arrested on a Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a problem with a subject — Officer received a report of an individual who was causing a disturbance. Officer located the person and identified her as Angel H. Graham age 42 of Duckwater, NV. Graham was arrested for disturbing the peace and obstructing a police officer.
