Clifford “Bill” Varney of McGill, quietly passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, on his deceased wife’s, “Doris” Varney’s, birthday.
Mr Varney was a lifetime resident of McGill, attended McGill Grade School, White Pine High School, completed his GED after marring the love of his life, Doris Nollette Varney on September 19, 1946, and together had four amazing children. He worked his entire career at Kennecott Copper and retired as a Field Repair Supervisor. He enjoyed the mountains, camping, hunting, making clocks, jigsaw puzzles, and playing with his Grand, Great Grand, and Great Great Grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife; Doris Nolette Varney, son; Douglas Varney, parents; Leroy and Paza Varney, and brother; Dean Varney. He is survived by his sons; Clifford (Janis) Varney, and Marvin Varney, daughter; Cheryl Metzger, sister; Beverly (Lewis) Sanberg, and brother; Clark (Uvonne) Varney.
Services will be held at Mountain Vista Chapel, Ely, Nevada at 11:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2015

So sorry, cheryl, Clifford, and Marvin to read today ( July 25, 2018 ) of the loss of your father Bill and brother Doug. Hope you see this message since I haven’t been back to McGill since 75. I have such great memories of your family during the time we lived there and our parents were great friends and Doug min
