Volunteers are needed to help with participants for a fun filled day of games, prizes, and fishing aimed at making the lives of special needs individuals truly special. The second annual Gilbert Ranch Special Needs Event will kick off at 10 a.m. on Aug. 22 and run to 5 p.m. Activities planned include face painting, balloon animals, carnival games, catch and release fishing, live music, food and more
“It is just meant to be a day of fun for special needs individuals, it’s not just for children as we get adults with special needs as well. it gives them a chance to get out and do something that is fun and different,” Tuesday Fidler, one of the event’s organizers, said.
Gilbert Ranch is located on Hwy. 93 between Elko and Ely, 50 miles North of Ely towards Elko between mile marker 96 and 97.
