Our Mom was best known for her homemade bread and dinner rolls that everyone loved and she handed out as you stopped at or passed by her house. She always had a little Italian saying for her Grandkids and the children that she watched when it was naptime …she would tell them to “Fa nah nah” which means “time to rest/sleep”…so with all of our Love Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, “Fa nah nah”.
My condolences to all of you DiCianno “kids”. Your Mom will be in my prayers. She and I cleaned the old Sacred Heart Church for one month each year, and I enjoyed working with her. She never missed a single day and was always on time. Blessings on you and your families.
Thank you Mary! Now that you mention that, I can remember cleaning the church on a weekly basis when I was a youngster… We did our best to dust & not run around as kids! Thank you for bringing back some very fond memories!
My very sincerest condolences and prayers are with Jo’s beautiful family. I remember Jo as always having her home and arms and heart open to everyone…and I remember her gentle smile. May she R.I.P.
My siblings and I were among some of the children she babysat. I remember being sent home with one of her delicious rolls. We called them Jo Rolls. She was such a sweet lady. Prayers for your family.
My sincerest condolences to the DiCianno family. In the early 80s, I attended her daycare and remember that she loved all the kids in her care. She will be remembered by many of the kids of Ely.
My condolences to Jo’s family. Jo was a lifesaver for me when I entrusted her with my daughter Erin’s care. She was always so caring, loving and gracious. So many times she sent us home with homemade rolls and her Italian specialties. So many lovely memories.
To all of you, especially Sr. Sandy, my prayers and condolences at the death of Jo. Today is the feast of Our lady of Sorrows, and I will be offering the Mass for each of you. God Bless you, all.
I remember Jo with great fondness (and her daughter, Sandra). Friend of my mother, Margaret. Condolences to the entire family.
ONE OF THE FINEST LADYS I HAD THE HONOR TO KNOW. ALWAYS BOUGHT A TICKET. GOODBYE MY FRIEND
