RENO — Reno police say a 27-year-old man linked to a string of stolen vehicles, robberies and car chases has been arrested.
Authorities said Stephen Christie was captured Monday with the help of a Sparks police dog. He’s charged with armed robbery, eluding, and illegal possession of a firearm by an ex-felon.
Police say they’re also looking for another suspect in the spree.
Authorities say stolen vehicles were used in robberies at a Walmart and a Ford dealership in the past few days.
Officials say they found a stolen vehicle at a Reno apartment complex and followed Christie when he returned to it. He was caught after a chase.
He’s being held on $250,000 bail.
Authorities say Christie is the same person whose vehicle fatally struck another car in Reno earlier this summer.
