To the Editor:

Re: $1,000 Reward

To the person(s) who has been vandalizing the McGill parks.

On July 21, the McGill Town Council wrote a Letter to the Editor offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) who dug up and stole two trees from the McGill Kinnear Library Park. Since that time vandals have continued wreaking havoc this summer in McGill by destroying sprinklers at the Ball Park, pulling up the plants from the community garden below the Ball Park, painting graffiti around town, throwing rocks at passing motorists traveling through town, and smearing paint on the new playground equipment in the McGill Avenue K park.

During the McGill Town Council meeting held on the evening of Sept. 15, 2015, the Council unanimously went on record as offering another $500 reward from their Neighborhood Watch fund. This raises the reward to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for all the vandalism in McGill.

Dear Vandals: Whoever you are; you are stealing and destroying property that belongs to every citizen in McGill. If you live in McGill that means you are also stealing and destroying property that belongs to some of your family members. Again, the McGill Town Council says “Shame on You!”

If anyone has any information about the person(s) vandalizing and destroying the McGill Parks, please report these despicable acts to the White Pine County Sheriff’s Office at 289-8808.

Bob Winder, Chairman
