Billie Coleman, Kindergarten teacher, has been honored as Learning Bridge’s Focus teacher for the month of October.

Billie has an abundance of ideas to encourage children to learn and to excite them about reading.

She uses the “CeLL” pedagogy in teaching students to read. In doing so excites them to understand the world around them. She makes all social studies and science come alive for all students in her classroom through interactive activities.  She also makes students excited to experience the art of writing and is an advocate for the importance of writing across the curriculum in the early years.

The experiences she creates in her classroom are phenomenal. Billie is available to help other teachers and is always willing to share time and material. Billie understands the importance of our Core Knowledge Curriculum and is an advocate to ensure Learning Bridge becomes a Core Knowledge Official School. She has been involved with our spelling bee for the past 2 years.  She is a true advocate for Learning Bridge.

Billie also acts as our Special Education teacher/director and has a great deal of experience. She is very helpful when it comes to working on closing the achievement gap for our students at Learning Bridge.

Her students are her top priority: after school you can find her working with students or interacting with parents. Learning Bridge Charter School is lucky to have such an amazing person and a superb professional for all to learn from.11-25 Billie Coleman1
