NOV. 17

Report of a private property accident — Debbie Griffin, of McGill, was backing from a parked position and struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle.  A report was completed.

Report of truancy —A local school reported a student had missed three or more days of school and was deemed a habitual truant.  A citation was issued and a report was submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of threats —The reporting party claimed to be receiving threats from a friend’s husband.  A report was completed.

Report of a civil issue —The reporting party sold a vehicle to another person, who then tried to change the deal.  She was advised the issue was civil.

Report of an arrest — Ashley Dawn McNay, 20 year old Ely resident, was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper that had been reported previously.

Report of panhandling — the reporting party claimed several juveniles were soliciting alms near a park.  The juveniles were located, but denied begging.

Report of a welfare cehck —  the individual was contacted and stated that he was fine.

Report of a theft — reporting party stated that someone had stolen his medication from his residence. The incident was documented.

Report of a fraud—reporting party stated that someone had opened a credit card account in her name. The banking establishment where the account had been opened was notified that it was a fraudulent account.

Report of a juvenile problem —Officer received a report of a juvenile who had threatened to harm another juvenile. All the parties involved were contacted and advised to leave each other alone.

Report of a custody problem —Reporting party stated that the father of their child that they have in common took their child on a trip, but hasn’t returned home. Officer reported that there was no custody paper work in place. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject— Officer received a report of an individual causing a disturbance at a local casino. During the officers investigation Ira L. McConley II age 41 of McGill was arrested. McConley was arrested for trespassing and possession of methamphetamine.

Report of a problem with a subject —The reporting party claimed a male subject was at her residence, who had a warrant for his arrest and was refusing to leave.  The male fled the area prior to officers arriving.

Report of a suspecious vehicle — The reporting party complained about an abandoned vehicle parked in front of his house.  The vehicle was checked and found to have been disabled.  The owner was contacted and agreed to have the vehicle moved.

Report of an abandoned vehicle—The reporting party claimed a vehicle had been abandoned on his property.  The owner was contacted and agreed to move the vehicle.

Report of a truancy—a student was deemed a habitual truant and issued a citation for truancy.  A report was completed and will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of an arrest— a deputy observed 21 year old Ely resident Isaac Wheeler, whom the officer knew had a warrant for his arrest.  When Wheeler was advised he was under arrest, he willfully resisted.  Wheeler was eventually taken into custody.

Report of a delayed accident— the reporting party claimed to have been involved in an accident earlier in the day.  Both parties claimed the other was at fault.  The officer was unable to determine the at fault driver.

Report of vandalism— The reporting party claimed an unknown person threw an egg at her home, resulting in yolk and albumen residue on her window.  The area was checked, but no suspect was found.

Report of a welfare check—the individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a vagrant—officer received a report of several individuals loitering around a local business. The individuals were contacted and advised to leave the property.

Report of an agency assist—officer assisted on the welfare check on a elderly female. The female was taken to E.R. to received medical assistance.

Report of a custody problem— reporting party stated that the father of her child took their child in common for visitations, but hasn’t returned him. Officer is attempting to contact the father.

Report of a lost cell phone—reporting party reported that she had lost her cell phone. A report was completed.

Report of a welfare check—the individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a disturbance—officer contacted the individual who was playing his music to loud. He was advised to turn it down.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of a juvenile who had brought a knife to school. Officer reported that the school had already administered its discipline procedure towards the student.

Report of a welfare chec—The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a disturbance—reporting party stated that her boyfriend was in an argument with her ex-boyfriend. When officers arrived the individuals had already separated.

Report of an arrest—officer reported that Ronald A. Martin age 33 of McGill was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant, for failure to pay fines. During his arrest Martin was in possession of drug paraphernalia, heroin and methamphetamine.

Report of a possible DUI— the area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a lost cell phone—reporting party stated that she had lost her cell phone. A report was completed.

Report of a disturbance—officer contacted the occupants in the vehicle and advised them to stop honking the horn.

Report of an alarm—false alarm.

Report of a fight—officer contacted the occupants of the home who stated that there had been a verbal argument. All the parties involved were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a welfare check—the individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over property. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of a problem with a subject—reporting party stated that an individual was posting rude comments about him on Face Book. The incident was documented.

Report of a civil problem—officer reported that an individual was served a court order removing him from the residence and allowing him to obtain his personal items.

REPORT OF SHOTS FIRED

Reporting party stated that an individual was shooting near his residence. When officers arrived the individual had left the area. A family member of the suspected shooter was contacted and advised of the problem.

REPORT OF A DOG BITE

Reporting party stated that their child had been bitten by a stray dog. The child received medical attention at E.R.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

Officer attempted to contact the individual, but he had left the area.

REPORT OF THREATS

City — reporting party stated that he had received a threatening phone call from an individual. Officer reported that during his investigation it was determined the reporting party was provoking the incident. He was advised to stop his contact with the caller.

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City — officer reported that Robert C. Porter Jr. age 43 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

REPORT OF A FOUND BIKE

City — the bicycle was placed into lost and found.

REPORT OF A MOTORCYCLE DISTURBANCE

Officer contacted the operators of the motorcycles and requested they ride elsewhere.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

Reporting party stated that several juveniles had thrown rocks at his vehicle breaking the windows. Officer contacted the juveniles and their parents and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM

City — reporting party stated that he had loaned his vehicle to a family member and now wants it returned. He was advised to contact the family member and request the return of the vehicle. At this time the situation is a civil problem.

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City — officer reported that Devin T. Hutchison age 30 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Justice Court warrant. During his arrest he was also found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

City — officer reported that Jay Ostos age 20 of Auburn, WA was arrested for driving suspended

REPORT OF A DEATH

Officer reported that Beverly J. Regele age 84 of Lund died at her residence of natural causes.
