Our beloved father, Carrol J Barton, passed on from this life on December 13, 2015, just shy of his 80th birthday. Carrol was born January 1, 1936 in Tropic, Utah. He moved with his parents and family to McGill, NV in 1941 where he attended school and then was employed by Kennecott beginning in 1954. In 1985, after Kennecott shut down, he moved to Elko, NV to work as a Mill Foreman for Newmont. During school Carrol enjoyed his accomplishments in football and basketball and as an adult he enjoyed cutting horse competitions. He also enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events by attending many of their games. He is survived by 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
On Friday December 18th there will be an open reflection period from 10-11am at the Mountain Vista Chapel in Ely, NV which will be followed by a grave site dedication.
