Cole J. Evers and Kendra Lucy Fullmer have been named Students of the Month for January, according to Ely Elks Lodge #1469.

Evers, age 18, is the son of Scott and Darcy Evers of Ely.   Fullmer, age 17, is the daughter of Amy and Doug Fullmer of Ely.  Both are Seniors at White Pine High School and will graduate with the Class of 2016.

The Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding students in the area.

Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selection of Students of the Month.

Evers has been active in Robotics Club and track and field.  He is captain of the WPHS Soccer team, a 4-H Ambassador and a Peer Leader at WPHS.  His hobbies are seeing how things work.

Out of sheer curiosity,  he likes disassembling  machines to see their inner workings and the challenge of putting them back together.  He also likes photography  and being able to capture a moment in a single frame.

Fullmer has been active in girls soccer, track and field and basketball.  She also has a church leadership role in her church. Her hobbies are singing, playing the piano, physical therapy tech, running and school activities.1-22 Jan. Elks1
