To the Editor:
I hope all the disabled veterans and people on social security enjoyed the holidays without a C.O.L.A. increase in payments for two years in a row.
What has become of this country we love, when it forgers our veterans and elderly?

In regards to the effects of the recent snowstorms, I would like to extend my appreciation to all the good Samaritans in our community. I was stuck in the middle of the road in my little car and was trying to dig myself a path when to my rescue a man in a little black truck came to my rescue and pushed me out (by hand) down the road until I got enough momentum to keep going. I didn’t even get a change to thank him only wave my hand out the window or he would have still been pushing me. Then I got home for lunch and someone had plowed me out, my sidewalk and the street. As I was singing the praises of my Good Samaritan/Samaritans I found that we had them all over; people helping people. I am so grateful to live here and have such wonderful folks to associate with.
Thank you so much.

Having been a 100% service connected disabled veteran for over two decades now I can only speak for myself (hoping others will follow). It is critically important to keep Faith in Country above money.
At the risk of bringing shame to those Republicans within my family…, I would like to respectfully ask everyone to strongly consider throwing your full support toward Mrs. Hillary R. Clinton for President.
Thank you Editor for allowing me to speak my mind.

I totally agree with you….what I don’t understand is why any senior or veteran would vote Republican when they are trying to take these services away. ..It just doesn’t make any sense.
