JAN. 19

Report of an open door—Officer located an open door on a closed business. The business was checked and the door secured.

Report of an alarm—False alarm.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who were arguing over car keys. The parties involved were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that his neighbor was pumping metal into his apartment causing him physical ailments. The incident was documented.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that she got a ride from a friend and left her purse in the vehicle. She contacted the friend and advised her of the problem. Reporting party stated that her friend has now stopped contact with her and she is unable to get her purse back. Investigation continues.

Report of threats—Reporting party stated that she and her boyfriend separated and now he is sending her unwanted text messages. A report was completed.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that her tenants had stolen a washer and dryer when they moved out. Investigation continues.

Report of an accident—Report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a dog at large—The report was given to Animal Control.

Report of suspicious subjects—Officer received a report of several subjects loitering around a vehicle. Officer located the individuals and identified them as local juveniles. The juveniles were out past the hours of curfew. They were detained and later released to their parents.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual who had written in his daily planner a threatening note towards others. The individual was contacted and the investigation continues.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that a family member had borrowed her computer and when the reporting party checked the history use of the computer it was discovered that the family member had used it to search pornography. Investigation continues.

Report of a public nuisance— Officer received a report of a business that was creating a public nuisance by not cleaning up weeds and trash from around its business. The manager of the business was issued a citation for public nuisance.

Report of a citizen assist—Reporting party stated that his doctor was not renewing his prescription medication. Officer spoke to the doctor who advised that the reporting party was being referred to a pain management specialist.

Report of a public nuisance— Officer received a report of a business that was creating a public nuisance by not cleaning up weeds and trash from around its business. The manager of the business was issued a citation for public nuisance.

Report of a possible drunk driver—the area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of possible drug use—The report was given to the Drug Task Force

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated the father of her child keeps texting her and following her around town. Officer contacted the individual and advised him to stop his contact with the reporting party.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual was spreading rumors about her at a local business establishment. The incident was documented.

Report of a traffic problem—Officer received a report of a semi-truck that was blocking traffic. Traffic control was performed while the semi-truck was removed.

Report of a possible drunk drive—Officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator. Officer reported that the operator was not intoxicated and he was advised of the complaint about his driving.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that an individual had opened the door to her garage. Officer patrolled the area, but no one was located.

Report of a temporary protective order violation—The reporting party believed that her estranged husband had violated a protection order which she has against him.  The investigation continues.

Report of a pubic nusicance—A neighbor complained about a vehicle abandoned in an alleyway.  The vehicle was red tagged and the owner was contacted, agreeing to remove the rest of the refuse.

Report of a welfare check—The subject was located and found to be cared for.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Both parties were contacted and it was found to be a verbal disagreement.  Both parties were advised to seek civil litigation.

Report of a juvenile problem—The reporting party claimed several juveniles tried to enter a building on her curtilage.  The area was checked but the juveniles were not found.

Report of fraud—The reporting party provided money to an online repair company, which later defrauded him.  A report was completed.

Report of an abandoned vehicle—The owner was contacted and agreed to remove the vehicle.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked by a school.  It was later discovered the owner of the vehicle was picking up a dependant child.

Report of a stolen vehicle—The reporting party claimed to have believed her vehicle was repossessed last year, but just discovered it was not, and had instead been stolen and recovered in another state.  A report was completed.

Report of a hit and run—The reporting party discovered an unknown vehicle had struck her parked unoccupied vehicle.  The striking vehicle then fled the area.  A report was completed.

Report of a barking dog—Officer reported that the owner of the dog was contacted and issued a citation for barking dog.

Report of a child left in a vehicle—Officer located the vehicle and reported that an older sibling was in the vehicle and was watching the child.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of several juveniles playing in the snow that was piled up in the middle of the street. Officer patrolled the area, but the juveniles were not located.

Report of a fight—Officer received a report of several females that were fighting. The females were contacted and the investigation continues.

Report of a possible drunk driver—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Jacob W. Parr age 25 of McGill was arrested for license plate light required, driving revoked, and DUI.

Report of an agency assist—Officer assisted the Ely Ambulance with a female who had fallen and needed assistance getting back into her wheelchair.

Report of an accident—Officer reported that Shalene S. Carrasco of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on CR 44. She allowed her vehicle to drift off the roadway. She then over corrected causing the vehicle to roll. Carrasco was taken to E.R. by ambulance. She was later issued a citation for failure to maintain lane of travel, set belt required, insufficient tread on tires, and failure to change address on driver license.

Report of a suspicious subject—Officer received a report of an individual going door to door selling items. The individual was contacted who did not have a city business license. He was advised to stop his soliciting until he obtained the license.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that he had a verbal argument with his neighbor over parking. Both parties involved were contacted and advised of the laws pertaining to parking. They were both advised to keep the peace.

Report of an accident—Matthew Lindsley of Ely was operating a vehicle turning from Great Basin Blvd. on to Campton Street. As he did so his vehicle slid striking a sign. Lindsley was issued a citation for improper turn.

Report of an accident—Levi Garcia of Ely was operating a vehicle turning from Great Basin Blvd. onto Aultman Street. As he did so he struck a vehicle that had made an abrupt lane change. The operator and passengers of the other vehicle involved fled on foot leaving the vehicle they were in at the scene. Garcia and the passengers in his vehicle were taken to E.R. by ambulance. Investigation of the accident continues.

Report of a reckless driver— The operator of the vehicle was contacted and advised of the complaint. He was issued a warning.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of an intoxicated juvenile laying in the snow. Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that several juveniles were found to be intoxicated. One of the juveniles was taken to E.R due to intoxication and an injury she had sustained. The other juveniles were contacted along with their parents. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of an accident—Christopher F. Stevens age 26 of McGill was operating a vehicle traveling on 8th Street. He failed to stop at the stop sign before entering onto Aultman Street. He then struck a vehicle being operated by Camilla Berry of Ely. During the accident investigation Steven was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of an open door—Officer located an open door on a closed business. The property manager was contacted and the door was secured.

Report of a snowmobile problem—reporting party stated that a snowmobile was being operated down an alleyway. The area was patrolled, but the snowmobile was not located.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that an individual had removed several items from a local store without paying for them. Officer identified the individual as Jenna L. Stevens of McGill. She was issued a citation for petit larceny.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual and reported that a family member arrived to assist her.

REPORT OF A THEFT

Reporting party stated that some friends that were living with him recently moved out of his home and they took several items belonging to him. The reporting party wanted the incident documented. A report was completed.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Christina Coombes age 40 of McGill was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that someone had broken a bathroom mirror at his place of employment. The incident was documented.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that a vehicle did not stop for several children in a crosswalk. Officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator. She was advised of the complaint and warned about her driving behavior.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Kenneth A. Steiner age 35 of Spring Creek, NV was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant. During the arrest Steiner was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and carrying a firearm. He was arrested for trafficking a controlled substance, transporting a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and use of a controlled substance.  Officer reported that Marissa McCracken age 19 of Lake Havasu City, AZ was arrested for transporting a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sell, and use of a controlled substance.

Report of possible drug use—Reporting party stated that several juveniles were smoking marijuana in a bathroom at a local business. When officers arrived the juveniles had left the area. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual living in a condemned building. The individual was contacted and advised to leave the home.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Daniel A. Pettinger age 49 of Montrose, CO was arrested on a Hawthorn Justice Court warrant.
