Report of a missing child—Officer reported that the child was located.

Report of bad checks—Reporting party stated that an individual had written several checks to obtain merchandise at her place of employment. The checks were returned for insufficient funds. The checks were collected and turned over to the City Attorney for collection or prosecution.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her soon to be ex-husband took a picture of her while she was sleeping. The reporting party stated that the picture is indecent. He then sent her the picture to her. The reporting party was advised to obtain a restraining order against her husband.

Report of an agency assist—Officer assisted the Nevada Highway Patrol on a traffic stop.

Report of a theft—Officer received a report of an individual who had shoplifted at a local store. Officer located the individual who had fled the store and identified him as Timothy N. Tamburelli age 31 of Ely. Tamburelli was arrested for petit larceny.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual was knocking on her apartment door and causing a disturbance. Officer patrolled the area, but the individual was not located.

Report of embezzlement—Reporting party stated that an induvial who is employed by him to manage his rental properties has been stealing money from him. Investigation continues.

Report of a battery—Reporting party stated that while at her place of employment she had an argument with a co-worker. She stated that the argument turned into a physical fight where she was battered. Officer investigated the incident and reported that both parties involved were at fault and caused the fight. The incident was documented.

Report of a truancy—Officer received a report of a student that was truant from school. Officer reported that the student will be issued a citation for truancy and a report will be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that he located a juvenile in his home that was uninvited. Officer contacted the juvenile who had snuck out of his home to visit a friend. The juvenile was detained and later released to his father.

Report of a dog problem—The reporting party complained that his neighbor’s dogs were barking.  The neighbor was contacted and agreed to try to keep the dogs quiet.

Report of a truancy—A student was deemed a habitual truant and issued a citation for truancy.  A report was completed to be submitted to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a shoplifter—Officer received a report of an individual who had stolen several items from a local store and then fled. An employee of the store pursued the individual and she was apprehended and taken back to the store. Officers identified the individual as Donna M. Maestas age 46 of Ely. Maestas was arrested for petit larceny. During the investigation she was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.

Report of a found item—Reporting party located a  wallet at a local convenience store. The owner of the wallet will be notified.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of a juvenile who had given some of her medication to several other juveniles. The juveniles had taken the medication making them sick. The juveniles along with their parents were contacted. A report will be sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her daughter and boyfriend were moving out of her home and she was afraid the boyfriend would take some of her property. The boyfriend was advised to only remove his belongings.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend keeps calling her at work and harassing her. She was advised to obtain a harassing / stalking order.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of several individuals causing a disturbance at a local bar. The area was patrolled, but no disturbance was located.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer located the vehicle and reported that an intoxicated person was located sleeping in the back seat. A friend of the person was contacted and gave him a ride home.

Report of a reckless driver—The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of children walking near a highway—Officer located the two small children walking near the highway. The children stated that they were walking home after being at a family member’s shop, but the family members had left so they were walking home. The mother of the children arrived and took custody of the children.

Report of an ATV disturbance—Reporting party stated that an ATV was driving up and down the alleyway. Officer contacted the operator and reported that the ATV was registered for street use.

Report of a private property accident—Officer reported that when he arrived on the scene the individuals involved had exchanged information.

Report of a man with a gun—Officer received a report of a man walking along a roadway carrying a gun. Officer contacted the person who was caring a BB gun. No crime had occurred.

Report of a private property accident—Cheryl Anderson of Phoenix, AZ was operating a vehicle pulling up to a gas pump. As she did, her vehicle hit a barrier pole causing damage to the vehicle. An accident report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual came into his place of business and was causing a problem with an employee. Officer contacted the individual and advised her not to return to the store.

Report of a 911 hangup—Officer contacted the caller who stated that he accidentally called while trying to connect to an extension at a motel.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that she had located a knife hidden near her place of employment. The knife was collected and the incident was documented.

Report of a citizen assist—Officer assisted an elderly female who had fallen and needed medical attention. She was transported to E.R.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that while doing bar checks he located an underage person loitering in a bar. Officer identified the individual as Sofia E. Davis age 19 of Ely. Davis was arrested for minor in consumption.

Report of a domestic battery—Reporting party stated he believes that his brother battered him. The reporting party stated that he was knocked out and when he awoke he was lying on the kitchen floor. The reporting party doesn’t remember how it happened. Investigation continues.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who were engaged in a verbal argument. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a reckless driver—Officer located the vehicle and contacted the operator. He was advised of the complaint and to operate his vehicle in a safe manner.

Report of a lost wallet—Reporting party stated that he had lost his wallet. The incident was documented.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Michael J. Vodopich age 46 of Ely was arrested for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving under the influence.

Report of an arrest—An officer observed a male subject running toward another male.  The runner was stopped and identified as 18 year old Bryan Gutierrez, of Ely.  Gutierrez was later arrested for minor in consumption of alcohol.

Report of a problem with a subject—The reporting party complained that another subject was using his dumpster.  The offending party was contacted and said it wouldn’t happen again.

Report of a welfare check—The subject was contacted and found to be okay.

Report of lost and found—A subject found a wallet.  The owner was contacted and will pick it up.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—The reporting party claimed a vehicle had been parked on private property for several days.  The vehicle was checked and found not to be stolen.  The owner of the property was advised they would have to remove the vehicle if they so wished.

Report of stolen property—The reporting party believed someone stole her purse while she was eating at a local restaurant.  It was later discovered someone had turned the purse in as lost.  The reporting party and purse were reunited.

REPORT OF FRAUD:

City – the reporting party discovered an unknown subject had written a check for a large amount against his checking account.  The check never cleared.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF A THEFT:

City – the reporting party said she lost her purse three weeks ago, and now someone is using her medical insurance card.  A report was completed.

REPORT OF AN ARREST:

City – a deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, identified as 35 year old Ely resident, Johnathan Bainbridge.  Bainbridge was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
