MAR. 1

Report of a theft—The reporting party claimed someone stole fundraiser money from her vehicle.  The investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject—The manager of a local motel reported having problems with several subjects in a motel room.  Contact was made with the subjects, several of which were trespassed from the property.

Report of a welfare check—The subject was located and checked out okay.

Report of a problem with a subject—58 year old McGill resident Rodney Leo Kenney came to the PSB to report an unknown subject stole his keys.  Based on his behavior, and observations by other deputies when he arrived, Kenney was later arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Report of a problem with a subject—The reporting party claimed a male subject was passed out behind his place of work.  The subject was located and later transported to the hospital.

Report of a burglary—The building was checked, but nothing was missing.

Report of lost property—The reporting party claimed to have lost her purse.

Report of an arrest—The deputy made contact with 36 year old Ely resident Jeremy Brown.  It was discovered Brown had failed his annual sex offender verification.  Brown was arrested for the violation.

Report of suspicious circumstances—The reporting party claimed several juveniles were drinking alcohol.  The area was checked, but no juveniles were found.

MAR. 2

Report of a suspicious vehicle—The reporting party claimed to hear a vehicle that sounded like it was stuck behind his home.  Officers arrived in the area and located a stuck vehicle, occupied by several people.  The driver, identified as 18 year old Ely resident Kesha Maria Pavlik, was later arrested for driving under the influence.  One of the passengers, Jordan Dade Cameron, was issued a citation for minor in consumption of alcohol.

Report of a problem with a subject—The reporting party claimed four individuals were trying to kill him.  It was later discovered the reporting party was hallucinating.

Report of a theft—The reporting party claimed someone stole a vehicle from his property.  It was later discovered the vehicle was part of a civil deal made with the previous owner of the property.

Report of an alarm—The building was checked and found to be secure.

Report of a welfare check—The subject was located and said he was fine.

Report of a problem with a subject—The reporting party said she received a picture from her ex showing their child not buckled up in a car seat when riding in a vehicle.  The vehicle could not be located.

Report of a problem with a subject—The reporting party was concerned with the behavior of a parent picking up his child at a local school.  The male wasn’t located.

Report of a non-injury accident—Diane Lowery, of Ely, rear-ended Heidi Tokerud, of Ely, when Tokerud stopped for a pedestrian.  A report was completed.

Report of a domestic disturbance— The subjects were located and admitted to arguing over a cell phone.  Both parties agreed to separate.

Report of a domestic disturbance—The parties were contacted and were only arguing.  One of the parties involved, identified as 25 year old Ely resident Devan Kyle Braden, was later arrested for a probation violation.

MAR. 3

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of several intoxicated people refusing to leave a bar when they were asked to by the bartended. When officers arrived the individuals had left.

Report of possible child abuse— Officer received a report of a small child being left home alone. Investigation continues.

Report of truancy—Officer received a report of a student that was truant from school. The student was issued a citation for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of found pills—The report was forwarded to the Task Force.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that a renter of a room had allowed a large gathering of people in the room to party. When officers arrived the party goers had fled the area.

Report of found items—Reporting party found a passport and driver’s license in the roadway. The owner of the items will be contacted.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the night.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that she was afraid that her soon to be ex-husband was going to come to her home and cause problems. The incident was documented.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that her ex-boyfriend came to her home and was pounding on her door trying to get in. She stated that he pounded so hard it broke the glass in the door. Officers are attempting to locate the boyfriend.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual who had been trespassed from a local casino keeps returning. The area was patrolled, but the person was not located.

Report of a 911 hangup—Officer received a 911 hang-up from a local casino. The area was patrolled, but no problems were located.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that several people were out to get him. Officer reported that the reporting party was delusional and a family member took him home.

Report of an ATV problem—Officer contacted the operators of the ATV’S and advised them not to ride on city streets.

Report of an ATV problem—The area was patrolled, but the ATV’S were not located.

Report of a reckless driver—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a suspicious phone call—Reporting party received a phone call and the caller claimed to be from the IRS. The caller demanded money be paid immediately or the reporting party would be arrested. Reporting party was advised it was a scam and to discontinue any further contact.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the day.

Report of a reckless driver—The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a reckless driver—Officer located the vehicle and the operator was issued a citation for speeding.

Report of a trespasser—Reporting party stated that an individual who was trespassed from entering onto an apartment complex keeps coming back. Officers will patrol the area looking for the individual.

Report of a motorcycle problem—The area was patrolled, but the motorcycles were not located.

Report of a found phone—Reporting party located a phone on a rural roadway. The owner of the phone was contacted and will pick it up.

Report of suspicious subjects—Officer contacted the individuals who were selling vacuums. No problems were reported.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that she is moving out of her boyfriend’s trailer, but he keeps bothering her. The parties involved were advised to give each other some space.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that they were closing down the bar, but an individual was refusing to leave. Officer contacted the individual who was escorted out of the business.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Reporting party stated that her husband had locked her out of their trailer. Officer contacted the parties involved who separated for the night.

Report of a juvenile problem—Reporting party stated that several juveniles were blowing an air horn causing a disturbance. The area was patrolled, but the juveniles were not located.

Report of an agency assist—Officer assisted the Nye County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic disturbance at the Sunny Side Camp Ground.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that his girlfriend moved out of his trailer, but she left some stuff behind. He was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a suicidal subject—Officer contacted the individual who was taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. The parties involved separated for the day.

Report of a fight—Officer received a report of several subjects involved in a fight at a local bar. Officer contacted the parties involved who denied being in a fight. They were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a fight—Officer received a report of a fight taking place at a local convenience store. Officer contacted the parties involved who stated they had broken up the fight. The parties involved were trespassed them from the property.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that a window on a building at her place of employment had been damaged. Investigation continues.

Report of dogs at large—Officer reported that the dog were captured and later released to their owner.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a reckless driver—Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and advised him of the complaint. He was issued a warning about his driving behavior.

MAR. 7

Report of a death—Officer reported that Cynthia L. Bonty age 54 of McGill died due to unknown health problems. Bonty was transported to the Clark County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

Report of a medical assist—Officer received a report of an individual who had fallen in her home and needed assistance getting up. Officer reported that the individual was in pain and an ambulance was requested who took the individual to the E.R. for medical treatment.

Report of a bad check—Reporting party stated that the company she works for had received a check for payment of services. When the check was deposited it came back due to insufficient funds. Officer collected the check and started his investigation. A short time later the reporting party called and cancelled the call due to the individual had made payment to cover the bad check.

Report of debris on the roadway—The call was given to NDOT

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of an accident—Jesse T. Gomez of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling on Murry Street. He failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck a parked vehicle belonging to Sahara Motors. An accident report was completed.

Report of a welfare check—Officer patrolled the area, but the individual was not located.

Report of a suspicious subject—Officer contacted the individual and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual who refused to leave a local business. The individual was contacted and identified as Mark Waszczak age 60 of Ely. Waszczak was arrested for trespassing.
