Born in Thompson Falls, Mont., local business owner Joelle Spires has lived in Ely for the last seven years. She started working at Miracle Carpet Cleaning in 2012, and when the owner decided to leave he offered the company to her. She purchased the business in 2013.
“It seemed like a good thing,” Spires said. “I’m independent, and I’m my own boss.”
Spires says she has a clientele of 20 solid customers.
“My clientele is pretty steady,” she said. “I get a lot of business through word of mouth and I have good clients, that’s the main thing. In a small town it’s really important to keep people happy. I go above and beyond to do that.”
