David E. Norman third graders from Tali Vinson’s class hosted their annual wax museum this month. Students spend weeks choosing a famous person, researching biographies, writing papers, and making props and costumes. Upon entering the wax museum, guests are greeted by famous figures such as Henry Ford, Cleopatra, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Rosa Parks, and many more. The students pose perfectly still until their ‘buttons’ are pushed, upon which the figure comes to life, tells a brief description about themselves, and then goes back into a frozen pose. A great deal of planning and hard work goes into this even which is looked forward to and enjoyed every year.
