The White Pine High baseball team was scheduled to travel to Las Vegas on March 25 to play a doubleheader against Agassi Prep. Agassi could not field a complete team, so forfeited both games.

“We’ve just been working on getting better at our pitching and our defense,” Coach Quinn Ewell said.

The Bobcats host a doubleheader against Lake Mead Christian Academy on April 2 at White Pine Little League Park at 11 a.m. The team is 4-6 overall and 3-1 in the league, which is third place in the Southern III standings.

“It seems this year Lake Mead is a little more competitive,” Ewell said. “It’s going to be a tough game. Hopefully, we can scrape out some wins this weekend.”
