RULES/GUIDELINES
Poems must be original work, no more than 20 lines.
Poems can be of cowboying, ranching, rural life, & maybe of the present or past & involve any family history or legend.
All participants must register at the library no later than April 15 by 5:00pm. Must submit a legible copy of poem & provide the following information: name, age, phone number, & school.
All participants will be required to read in front of the
Judges. Content must be clean & “G” rated.
Cowboy poet Richard Elloyan will offer a free poetry workshop on April 15 from 2:30-4:30pm held at the library, please call 293-6900 or stop by to sign-up.
The contest will follow the “Poetry Show” performed by Richard Elloyan held at the library on April 16 at 2:00pm.
The contest is open to all school aged children. Categories will be as follows:
Elementary, Middle school, & High School.
Prizes will be a Chromebook for each winner of each category!
