Report of an agency assist—Officers assisted hospital staff with moving an uncooperative patient to another room.

Report of an open door—Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the responsible party was contacted and advised of the problem.

Report of a possible fraud—Reporting party stated that she had purchased some items at a local convenience store and she believes she was double charged. Reporting party was advised to obtain her banking records so the investigation could move forward.

Report of a welfare check—The area was patrolled, but the individuals were not located.

Report of suspicious circumstances—Reporting party stated that he believed his landlord had come into his residence when he was not at home. Officer contacted the landlord who denied the allegation.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual needed to be trespassed from a local apartment complex. The individual was contacted and advised.

Report of a scam—Reporting party stated that he received a phone call and the caller indicated that he needed to pay for traffic tickets he had received. The reporting party discontinued the call. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and to discontinue any contact with the caller.

Report of an ambulance assist—Officer assisted EMT’S with an individual who was having a medical problem.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that her juvenile daughter was communicating with an individual over the internet. The individual had convinced the daughter to send nude photos of herself to him.  The reporting party located the photos on the daughter’s phone. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that his ex-wife loaned his four wheelers to an individual and the individual will not return them. Officer reported after taking the complaint it was determined it was a civil problem.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Reporting party stated that there was a vehicle parked at an odd angle on the roadway. Officer located the vehicle and during his investigation determined it had rolled from its parked position and came to rest against a curb. The owner was contacted and advised of the problem and the vehicle was moved back into the owner’s driveway.

Report of a suspicious vehicle—Officer contacted the operator of the vehicle and its occupants and reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Cody V. Irby age 23 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of harrassment—Reporting party stated that while her daughter was at school an individual had blamed her for some trouble another juvenile had gotten himself into. The incident was documented and she was advised to contact the school and advise them of her concerns.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that someone has stolen a speaker from the Renaissance Village. A report was completed.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated someone had entered into his yard and stole his bicycle. A report was completed.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that several individuals had come into her place of business and caused a disturbance. Officer contacted the individuals and trespassed them from the business.

Report of a juvenvile problem—Reporting party stated that she had an argument with her juvenile son and he left the residence without her permission. Officers are attempting to locate the juvenile.

Report of a juvenile problem—A student was reportedly emitting an odor of an alcoholic beverage.  The student admitted to drinking.  He was later released to his guardian.  A report was completed and will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Report of a juvenile problem—An elementary student allegedly set fire to some paper in a school bathroom.  The child was released to his guardian and a report was completed.

Report of a music disturbance—While a male subject was enjoying the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity, his neighbor complained.  The male agreed to turn it down.

Report of a trespasser—The manager of an apartment complex claimed a male subject had been trespassed in the past, but had returned to the property.  No documentation could be found indicating the subject had been advised of said trespassing.

Report of a vandalism—The issue was discovered to be a landlord/tenant issue.

Report of fraud—The reporting party claimed to have discovered an unauthorized pending transaction on her bank account.  The transaction was stopped prior to going through.  A report was completed.

Report of a theft—The reporting party claimed a female stole something from her workplace.  The investigation continues.

Report of a truancy—A student was deemed a habitual truant and issued a citation.

Report of a juvenile problem—A juvenile claimed he was harassed and battered by another juvenile.  A report was completed and will be forwarded to the White Pine County Juvenile Probation Department for review for prosecution.

Report of a theft—The area was checked, and nothing appeared to be missing.

Report of a domestic disturbance— The area was checked, but the subjects were gone when officers arrived.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and he was taken to E.R. for medical assistance.

Report of child abuse—Officer received a report of a child who had been struck by an adult several times. The child indicated that the incident had occurred in another town. Investigation continues.

Report of an argument—Officer received a report of an argument that had taken place between two bothers. The brothers separated for the day.

Report of stolen license plates—Reporting party stated that while he stayed at a local trailer park someone stole the license plate off his vehicle. The incident was documented.

Report of a shoplifter—Reporting party stated that he caught an individual stealing some alcohol from his store. Officer contacted the individual and per the store clerk trespassed the individual from the store.

Report of a welfare check—Officer received a report of several small children playing outside without anyone watching them. Officer contacted the mother of the children who was sleeping on the couch. She was advised to watch her children.

Report of a reckless driver—Reporting party stated that a vehicle was following her really close and then it passed her striking her vehicle. Officer located the operator of the vehicle and identified her as Sophia Neveu of Ely. Neveu was issued a citation for due care and reporting an accident to police.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual was causing a disturbance by threatening people at a local store. The individual was contacted and trespassed from the business.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Sean M. Gruda age 30 of Ely was arrested on a District Court warrant.

Report of a domestic disturbance—Officer received a report of an argument that was taking place between a father and son. The parties were contacted and separated for the day and the incident was documented.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that during a traffic stop Reginald J. Jennings age 33 of Tacoma, WA was arrested for basic speed and nonresident driving suspended.

Report of a mustic disturbance—Officer contacted the individuals involved and advised them to turn the music down. When making contact with the individuals officer observed drug paraphernalia in the apartment. Officer then determined the ownership of the paraphernalia and he was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Report of a child custody problem—Reporting party stated that the father of her child was late with the child custody exchange. Officer contacted the father and he was on his way to make the exchange.

Report of a trespasser—Reporting party stated that someone was breaking into a vacant apartment and sleeping there. The apartment was checked and the incident was documented.

Report of a child custody problem—Reporting party stated that the father of her child was refusing to return the child. Officer contacted the father who advised a new child custody order was in place and it wasn’t time to return the child. The reporting party was provided a copy of the new child custody order.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Patrick H. Corbin age 50 of Ely was arrested for suspended registration and D.U.I.

Report of a fraud—Reporting party stated that she received a telephone call and the caller claimed to be from Publisher Clearing House. The caller advised the reporting party she had won some money, but needed to send money to claim her prize. The reporting party was advised it was a scam and to discontinue any contact with the caller.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Mark Waszczak age 60 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted and was fine.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of several juveniles playing at a local park and while playing had gotten into a fight. One of the juveniles involved had made threats to the others. Officer reported that it is unknown where the juvenile making the threats lives. Investigation continues.

Report of a fight—Officer received a report of an individual who had gotten into a fight at a party. Officer contacted the individuals involved and determined the fight had been a mutual combatants. The individuals involved were advised to keep the peace.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer contacted several juveniles who were playing a game by running through the city street. They were advised to stop the game and go home.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Anna Simpson age 20 of McGill was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that he is having problems with an individual on Face Book.  The individual is spreading rumors about him. The reporting party wanted the incident documented.

Report of a noise disturbance—Reporting party stated that he could hear someone yelling. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a trespasser—Reporting party stated that someone keeps entering into a vacant home. Officers checked the home and reported it was unknown if anything was taken. The reporting party was going to secure the home.

Report of a child custody problem—Reporting party stated that when she picked up her child from the child’s father the father made several threats. The reporting party wanted the incident documented. A report was completed.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the mother and child and reported that they were fine.

Report of a dog problem—Officer received a report of a barking dog. Officer reported that when the owner of the dogs are located he will be issued a citation of barking dog.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that someone had entered into her horse trailer and stole several items. She also reported that someone had gotten into her RV trailer, but nothing was taken.

REPORT OF SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

City — reporting party stated that someone had attempted to gain access to her office by prying the window screen. The individual did not gain access to the building. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT

City — Alan Newman of Ely was operating a vehicle traveling west on Aultman Street. Michael Moschetti of Elko was operating a vehicle traveling west on Aultman Street. Moschettii proceeded to change lanes striking Newman’s vehicle. An accident report was completed and Moschetti was issued a citation for unsafe lane change.

REPORT OF A THEFT

City —reporting party stated that someone had stolen her license plate from her vehicle. An accident report was completed.

REPORT OF A MOTORIST ASSIST

City / County— Officers assisted several vehicles that were stuck in the snow or had slid off the highway. Several more calls were given to the Nevada Highway Patrol to assist with vehicle on the highways.

REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT

Officer took a curtesy report of an accident that occurred on US 50 on Antelope Summit.

REPORT OF A DOMESTIC BATTERY

Officers assisted Ely Tribal Police on a domestic battery call.
