Earth Day is April 22, a time to celebrate and honor this awesome planet  of ours. Please join the City in promoting recycling by creating art out of recyclables for Mayor Van Camp’s Recycled Art Contest.

Projects must be constructed of used recyclable matter, such as tires, electronics, plastics, cardboard, tin/aluminum, cans, newspaper, etc., however fastening materials such as tape, glue, string, etc. may be used. Pieces can be submitted at the Centennial Fine Arts Center, located at 900 Aultman St. on May 6, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., where they will be on display from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 7.

Entry categories are: K-5, 6-8, 9-12, Class Project, and adult.

Winners will be selected on May 7 by Mayor Van Camp’s recycling committee members. Cash prizes will be awarded in each category.
