Heaven gained a beautiful angel today as our beloved Mother, Grandma, Nana, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Shaunna Stewart, who lost her valiant two year fight with cancer on April 12, 2016,Shaunna lived her life and then faced her illness with a beautiful spirit. She is now at peace in the loving arms of her husband, Michael, and her parents, Ivan and Bonnie Bradley.
Shaunna was born March 26, 1956 in Ely, Nevada, a place she loved and always called home. Friends and family were Shaunna’s passion and delight. She was incredibly devoted to her children and grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, her “Heroes”, Casey, Chad (Sarah), Derek (Tara); her “brightest lights”, her grandchildren, Kaylee, Zavry, Khloe, MaKayla, Hunter, and her beloved pup, Sach. She is survived by her siblings Bob (Karen) Bradley, Iva (Nolan) Davis, Nora (Jim) Levie, adored nieces and nephews, loved aunts, uncles, cousins, Michael’s family and beautiful friends.
It was the simple things around her that Shaunna never took for granted. She found pure joy in a good cup of coffee and a new morning sunrise. Her goal was to never let a single day pass by without offering an act of kindness to make the smallest difference.
Shaunna loved unconditionally, always listened to people, never left anyone out, and could turn a stranger into a new friend in minutes. She believed that even in adversity, you could find a small miracle. And so many times those miracles were the people who came to her when she needed them most. Her wish was that every person who touched her life knows how much she loved and appreciated them. A special thanks to Hospice Visions for their exceptional care.
At Shaunna’s request there are no services planned at this time. Her simple wish would be that a genuine act of kindness be shared in her memory today.
Rest in peace our dear Shaunna. Forever in our hearts.
If I listen closely
I can hear the rustle of Angel wings
and I know you are still with us.
Nora, Iva, Bobby and families,
Jodi and I are so very sorry to hear about Shaunna. I had not seen her or any of you in years and am sad to hear she was sick for the past 2 years. I am sure it must’ve been awful for Shaunna and all of you that provided care for her. She was always a sweet girl. Rest assured she is with your parents and Mike again watching over all of her beloved family. God bless all of you. Your cousins, Jodi Bybee & Jeri Watson
