APRIL 12

Report of a dog at large—Officer contacted the owner of the dog and advised him to keep it contained.

Report of a trash problem—Officer received a report of an individual who had accumulated a large amount of trash in their yard. The individual was issued a citation and advised to clean up the debris.

Report of a child custody problem—Officer provided information to the reporting party who had question over child custody laws.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of a juvenile who had left the school without permission. The juvenile was located and returned to school. She was then issued a citation for truancy.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that a construction company working near her home had damaged her fence. Investigation continues.

Report of unattended children—Officer received a report of several small children that had been left at a residence unattended at a residence. Officer contacted the mother who was at work and had left the children with an adult babysitter. Officer located the adult sleeping in the home. D.C.F.S. was contacted and the incident was documented.

Report of property damage—Reporting party stated that a water line had broken in her home causing damage. Reporting party advised she felt it was the fault of the land owner whom she rents from. The reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of an accident—Officer received a report of a vehicle accident. Officer made contact with the individuals involved and the investigation is ongoing.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual who had been previously trespassed from a local business, but the individual had returned. Officer contacted the individual and identified him as Kipp B. Syme age 26 of Ely. Syme was arrested for trespassing, obstructing a police officer, and providing false information.

Report of a civil problem—Reporting party stated that he sold several items to an individual and now the individual wants to return the items after he used them. The incident was documented and the reporting party was advised it was a civil problem.

Report of a dog bite—Officer received a report of a dog that had bitten a child. The reporting party advised that their own dog had bitten their child. The child received medical attention at the hospital.

Report of an open door—Officer reported that he located an open door on a closed business. The business was checked and the manager was advised.

Report of a domestic battery—Officer received a report of a domestic battery that had taken place. During the officers investigation Michael A. Gregersen age 25 of Ely was arrested. Gregersen was arrested for domestic battery. He is accused of battering his girlfriend. Gergersen was also found to be in possession of marijuana.

Report of an ambulance assist—Officer assisted E.M.S. with an individual who had fallen in his home. The individual was taken to E.R. by ambulance.

Report of an abandoned vehicle—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of a theft—Reporting party stated that an individual had stolen an item from his place of business. Investigation continues.

Report of found drugs—Reporting party stated that a guest had checked out of a local motel and when the maid was cleaning the room she found some marijuana. The marijuana was collected and the investigation continues.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Kandi E. Adams age 45 of Ely was arrested on a warrant out of New Mexico

Report of an ATV problem—Officer received a report of several ATV’S riding on private property and causing a disturbance. Officer located the ATV’S but the operators fled the area.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the individual who requested no assistance.

Report of a suicidal subject—Officer reported that the individual was not at home when they arrived. He was later located at the E.R requesting medical assistance.

Report of a problem with a subject—Officer received a report of an individual who had passed a school bus while it was loading students. The individual was located and issued a citation.

Report of a dog problem—The report was given to Ely Animal Control.

Report of a juvenile problem—Reporting party stated that several juveniles walked away from a school activity without permission. The juveniles were located and detained. They were later released to their parents.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that during a traffic stop on a vehicle Jade S. Elvambuena age 37 of Las Vegas, NV was arrested on a Tribal Court North District County warrant of LA County, CA.

Report of a civil problem—Reporting party stated that an individual was selling clothes on line that didn’t belong to her. Officer reported that during his investigation the incident was considered a civil problem.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Teddy C. Sedwick age 37 of McGill was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a dog bite—Reporting party stated that their child had been bitten by the family dog. The child received medical attention at E.R.

Report of threats—Reporting party stated that his girlfriend’s ex-husband had threatened him. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check—Officer located the individual and a family member arrived on the scene and provided assistance.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Leonard Baca age 59 of Ely was arrested for head lamps required and D.U.I.

Report of a prowler—Officer located an individual in the area and contacted him. Officer reported that no crime had occurred.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer received a report of a juvenile who was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance while attending school. The juvenile was contacted and marijuana was located in her school bag. The parents of the juvenile were contacted and she was released to their custody. A report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that a tenant of hers had opened up a phone account in the reporting parties’ name. Investigation continues.

Report of a problem with a subject—Reporting party stated that an individual had rented a room at his motel and was possible using drugs inside the motel room. Officer contacted the individual and identified him as Antonio A. Frazier age 40 of Venice Beach, CA. During the officers investigation Frazier was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and prohibited person failure to register.

Report of unwanted telephone calls—Reporting party stated that he was receiving unwanted telephone calls. He was advised to block the number. The incident was documented.

Report of a juvenile problem—Reporting party stated that her juvenile son had left home without permission. The juvenile was located and returned home. He was advised to follow his mother’s rules.

Report of a dog problem—Reporting party stated that a dog had come onto his property and it had previously threatened his child. The reporting party shot the dog and it had ran off. The owner of the dog was contacted who advised the dog had a broken leg from being shot. Investigation continues.

Report of a detention of a juvenile—Officer reported that during a traffic stop the operator of the vehicle along with a juvenile passenger were found to be under the influence of alcohol. The juvenile operator and passenger were detained.

Report of a suspicious subject—The individual was located and he advised his vehicle had ran out of gas and needed assistance. Assistance was provided.

Report of a suspicious subject—Reporting party stated that she observed several subjects looking around her vehicles. The area was patrolled, but no one was located.

Report of a motorist assist—Officer assisted a motorist who had gotten their vehicle stuck.

Report of a domestic disturbance— Officer contacted the reporting party and stated that she had a verbal argument with her husband. The husband had already left the area. The incident was documented.

Report of a truancy—Officer received a report of a student that was truant from school. The student will be issued a citation for truancy and a report was sent to Juvenile Probation.

Report of a trespasser—Reporting party stated that an individual was trespassing at a local business. When officers arrived the individual had left the area.

Report of a lose horse—Reporting party stated that their horse had escaped from its corral. The incident was documented.

Report of a welfare check—Officer contacted the children and reported that they were fine.

Report of an ambulance assist—Officer assisted the Ely ambulance with a medical call.

Report of unwanted phone calls—Reporting party stated that he is receiving unwanted phone calls and text messages from an individual. He was advised to block the calls and the incident was documented.

Report of a juvenile problem—Officer contacted the juvenile who had been causing mischief in his home. He was advised to follow his parent’s rules.

Report of an open door—Officer located an open door on a closed business. The business was checked and the manager of the business was contacted who secured the door.

Report of an arrest—Officer reported that Elizabeth M. Faver age 26 of Ely was arrested on an Ely Municipal Court warrant.

Report of a welfare check—The individual was contacted who was sleeping in his vehicle. He requested no assistance.

Report of a subject laying in the roadway—The report was given to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Report of a possible drunk driver—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

Report of an accident—Jamie Wines of Ely was operating a vehicle and was backing up. As she did so she failed to see a parked vehicle behind her belonging to Kelly Sturgeon of McGill. Wines vehicle struck Sturgeon’s vehicle causing damage. An accident report was completed.

Report of a possible drunk drive—The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF AN ARREST

City — officer reported that during a traffic stop on a vehicle the operator who was identified as Flor Sedano age 24 of Sandy, UT was arrested for non-resident driving suspended.

REPORT OF A THEFT

City — reporting party stated that someone had stolen some of his wife’s jewelry from their home. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A CIVIL PROBLEM

Officer received a report of two individuals who were arguing over property. The individual were contacted and advised to settle their argument through an attorney.

REPORT OF A WELFARE CHECK

The individual was contacted and requested an ambulance due to medical problems. He was transported to the E.R.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER

Reporting party stated that while operating a vehicle another vehicle had passed him on a double yellow line. Officer reported that the operator of the vehicle will be contacted.

REPORT OF A BATTERY

Reporting party stated that an individual had come to his home and battered him. Officer contacted the parties involved and reported that Johnathan Cracraft of Ely was issued a citation for battery.

REPORT OF PROPERTY DAMAGE

Reporting party stated that while operating a vehicle on US 93 a rock had struck her windshield. The incident was documented.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

City — officer received a report of two children that were riding in a vehicle without child restraints. The area was patrolled, but the vehicle was not located.

REPORT OF A FRAUD

Reporting party stated that someone had gained access to her debit card and had made several purchases without the reporting party’s permission. The items purchased had been sent to an address in Ohio. Investigation continues.

City — officer contacted the parties involved who had engaged in a verbal argument. They were both advised to keep the peace.

Officer received a report of an open door on a vacant home. The home was checked and the door was secured.

City — reporting party stated that someone had stolen the license plate off her vehicle. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A JUVENILE PROBLEM

Reporting party stated that several of her children had gotten into an altercation with each other. Officer reported that the report will be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

REPORT OF AN IDENTIFY THEFT

City — reporting party stated that she was contacted by the IRS indicating someone has been using her social security number. The unknown person had filed a tax return using her number. A report was completed.

REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER

Reporting party stated that a vehicle had drove recklessly by one of his family members causing concern for her safety. The operator of the vehicle was contacted who denied the allegation. He was issued a warning.
