The White Pine High softball team hosted a doubleheader against Meadows at Marich Field on April 15, winning the first game 12-0.

Sophomore Britney Kingston pitched the first inning of the first game, which was then canceled due to snow.

Junior Ena Lester hit a double with the bases loaded, batting in three runs. Senior Debra Kingston hit a solo home run.

Meadows forfeited the second game.

“We’ve been working hard to prepare against some tough opponents,” Coach Krystal Smith said.

The Ladycats are now 14-3 overall and atop the league standings at 10-0. They travel to Needles, Calif. on April 22 for a doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m. They then host a doubleheader against Lincoln County that starts at 1 p.m. on April 26 at Marich Field.
