Rain, snow, sleet and the wind did not hamper the effort of the Community Wide Cleanup on Earth Day Weekend. Many thanks goes out to The Ely Shoshone Tribe, Learning Bridge Charter School, White Pine High School, Robinson Nevada Mining, Girl Scout Troop #1349 and the many citizens who braved the weather and gave us so much trash! A big thank you to Reck Brothers who donated their men and equipment and cleaned a large nasty lot full of debris and overgrowth of weeds and brush by the railroad. If all of us join together and just pick up 5 pieces of trash a day, that equals to 150 pieces of trash a month and 1800 pieces of trash a year, just think how much nicer our community will look.
